8bit BlackMage - Beyond the Sky TALK - Why do chemists call helium, curium, and barium 'the medical elements'? Because, if you can't 'helium' or 'curium', you... um... ._.; - {{{time}}}
Okay someone tell me what the difference between "defense" and "defence" is. I always thought they were two different ways of expressing the exact same action. If one means something more than the other, or if one can also be used as an adverb/verb/preposition/whatever and defence makes more sense, I'll leave it as is. However, I would like all the tables to be left as "Turf Defense".
One is correct, the other is American-English *snicker*
Which one is correct? I use them interchangably and I hate getting bitch red-lines in Microsoft Word.
"Defence". | |||

Damn you Englishmen! Always snidely using more "proper" terminology. I shall protect my country's language by continuing to use the "incorrect" term without any remorse whatsoever. Though I don't really care if some uppity redcoat changes all the "s"'s to "c"'s.
It was American-English that changed the "c"s to "s"s, not the other way around. Oh, and American-English isn't a language in itself, it's a dialect of English... which belongs to England. Other than that, great zinger ^_^
I'm the one who changed the red lines, since I'm neither a western nor native speaker of English, I just fix the words whenever there's a red line. Sorry. And I'm not really sure about the image, it looks like Firedrake(red colour),

Bleh, my dictionary gives me redlines on "defence", and nothing on "defense". Also redlines on "colour"... )-:
