Merging[]
The different forms of Seymour should have their own pages, but his original, human form should be on his own page. After that create pages called Seymour Natus or Seymour Omnis. Parenthasesed pages are for when there are two different entities with the same name, there are not two Seymour Guados therefore I suggest in it being merged. Don't remove the merge templates until the discussion is over either please
I don't agree. The page for the character of Seymour should be it's own separate article to each of the battles against Seymour, regardless of the form he takes. For the same reason there should be a page for the final battle against Kefka, separate to the article about the character of Kefka.
There already are two pages for Kefka. It's a tough issue, another good example would be the judges from XII. Should their battles have seperate pages, or should the enemy templates be added to the existing pages?
Crazyswordsman - Final Fantasy VI, because Drake says he wants to link to FF7 every day, which is bad because that game is so far inferior to FF6. TALK - 15:23, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
Kefka's probably going to have a third, showcasing his Narshe battle.
Well there you go... I didn't actually realise Kefka already had a separate page, but it proves my point. I believe the Battles should be separate as the Enemy template can be included as well as strategies for defeating them. The main page should be reserved for who the character is, where they came from and the story behind how they became the villain
Yet they are the same character. It isn't like a different form like Trance Kuja, he is the same person, you just fight him. He is not the same as Seymour Natus agreed, but if we have a page for Seymour, all the information for him in that form should be in there
So what is the verdict here? Because I would really like to get rid of that merge template, it is ugly.
Okay, last call guys. I will wait another 8 hours (8pm my time) and if there are no further objections I will remove the merge templates.
Demerging[]
Anima should have his own page. And then there should be two fights on his page. We haven't got pages for Belgemine's aeons. ILHI 19:41, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
Agreed. Anima should have HER own page. I'll check if it hasn't already happened. If not, I'll do it now.
Oh whatever. His, her... their even works. ILHI 22:11, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
Search for info before talk people! It is he, Anima is he and Seymour's mother is she, the esper is not the same as the Fayth, the Fayth are people who gave their souls in order to being able to control the monsters gods called espers, the espers are monster-like gods, but the Fayth not necessary fuse with them, they only control those esper and serve the summoners. oh and another fact about Anima, i don't now if it was based or not but Anima resemblance to the Gemini zodiac like Zalera, because Anima has two monsters, twins, the one underground and the other outside. They resemblance to Zalera on that fact of twins esper.
you have got to be trolling right now because if your serious you must not have played or paid any attention to final fantasy 10 because espers are from 12 and anima is a she, seymours mother willing gave her soul to create the aeon 86.182.35.11 21:02, February 23, 2011 (UTC)
Naming[]
The boss is called "Seymour", isn't it? ILHI 14:25, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
Tag[]
Shouldn't the Tag be "Seymour (Boss)"? Unless he's an enemy in another game? Drake Clawfang 23:14, November 23, 2009 (UTC)
Questions about updating images with HD remaster[]
Hello, I've been noticing that most of Final Fantasy X's pages such as bosses etc, contain mainly scarce resolution PS2 images, today I've been taking over 100 pictures from the Steam version in 4K and I'm going to continue tomorrow (now going to bed), but I don't know much about how to contribute with this. Do I have to delete the existing images, update/change them somehow by uploading the HD remaster version ones, what about pictures that there's only one of (or none) but I have several pictures which I think are worth including? For example, in this page Anima is nowhere to be seen, not even in the 20 year old PS2 versions. How would I add that? Because I'm taking all the screenshots but I don't have much idea of how to go about it on the site. Pictures that already exist must be deleted or instead updated in some way? As in a version change? Also I'm unsure if the pics should be uploaded in PNG format, since I have no problem with it but the whole thing is well over a gigabyte already, so I don't know if that exceeds some upload size limit or something like that. For these kind of things I would rather ask first, since I'm not going to have finished until tomorrow at least. Hope someone will reply to me and make things a little more clear, because it's all confusion to me right now.
- To upload a new image, use Special:Upload. To replace an image, go to the files' page (e.g. for the Seymour model at the top of this page, File:Seymour-enemy-ffx.png), and there will be a link to change the image in the file history.
- Upload size limits should be 10MB and 12.5 million pixels.
- For files in which PNG results in too large a file size (or if a more compressed format doesn't appear to degrade quality that much), the upload form also accepts JPEG and WebP. You can't change the format of an already existing image and will have to upload that separately if that's the case.
- Anima has her own page, so some things you're looking for might already be there.
- Further advice and technical concerns can be found at Project:File use. -- Some Color Mage ~ (Talk) 05:54, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
Few file upload tips:
- The old files will not be named "correctly", but any newly contributed files should follow a naming scheme. Something like "[ability name] from [game name].png", like Oblivion from FFX HD.png, or if there were more than one Oblivion in the game, then something like Anima's Oblivion from FFX HD.png.
- On the Special:Upload, put this on the summary field:
{{infobox file
|description=Anima using Oblivion as a boss
|source={{ref|game=FFX}}
}}
[[category:Final Fantasy X enemy ability images]]
You can see in category:Final Fantasy X images what image categories exist, so just use some already-existing one. You can look at the infobox file template here too: Template:Infobox file

I'm having technical problems with my very first attempt, can you please fix it?
https://finalfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/File:FFX_Battle.png https://finalfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/File:FFX_Battle2.jpg
I described the problem in the respective talk pages.
Edit: Same issue, not working either no matter what I do.

- Well let's try it again. On File:FFX Battle.png, click "Upload a new version of this file" link on that page. The image you upload has to be a PNG file because the original is, cannot be JPG. Can you change the JPG files to PNG files in GIMP or whatever else you have?
- Only mods can delete anything from the wiki. Purge means "clear cache". If, after uploading a new file version, you still see the old one, then click "Purge". Otherwise it doesn't do anything.
- If you want a file deleted, put {{delete|reason you think it should be deleted}} on the file page and maybe someone will delete it eventually, or run a bot to do it.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 15:13, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
I had to reupload most of the pictures as JPG since keeping them in their original PNG format (from Windows 10 built-in screenshot feature) made the files go well over the 10 MB size limit of the site. And I still think those old PS2 pictures REALLY needed an update (and many more that I still haven't had the time to take the screenshots or update them on the site). Yes I didn't screenshot every single attack or ability of every single boss, so some are still in PS2 version, but hey I'm human. I took over a hundred pics and I still have more pending to make this site not look like no one has used it in the last 10 or more years. I say this because the Remaster was released in 2013... and I don't understand why I'm the only one who cares to not have the pictures from the 2001 version of the game in every single boss page. We're on 2023, you know? But whatever. "Let him do the work while we sit here with some popcorn".
