Kimahri a Dragoon first?[]
I say Kimahri's a Dragoon first, because he starts out with Jump, yet learns Blue Magic by the way of !Lancet. However, I just contradicted myself. Because when Lulu stated, in the tutorial, about when people use !Lancet, they heal themselves in HP/MP, but when a Ronso uses it, they learn enemy skills. This'll cause another silent debate within my head again.

- Going by the logic you yourself have preached several times, he would be a Blue Mage first, Dragoon second.

- May I respectfully submit that the FFX characters cannot, on the whole, be pidgeonholed into Jobs, if one considers their initial skill sets? Kimahri's Blue Mage-like abilities include the aforementioned Jump, which is the Dragoon's signature skill, and he also has Lancet, which was a Dragoon skill in FF5. Tidus blends light Warrior (in the sense of relying on speed and dexterity rather than heavy armor) and Time Mage. Wakka could almost be considered a Mystic Knight, from his Element Reels Overdrive, but blends in aspects of Warrior. Yuna is both White Mage and Summoner, and so on. Only Lulu really fits a single Job, that of Black Mage. Would it not be easier to avoid trying to describe the FFX characters in terms of a single Job class?
- --CydoniaRaven 08:45, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
- This is why there are two job slots in the template. One for the primary job, and one for "the rest". What he (Luv) has preached on all the other pages, which he also changed, is that the Overdrive should be the only deciding factor in choosing their job class. Kimahri's Overdrive is "Ronso Rage", which consists of the enemy skills he has learned (Jump is included as one of those skills), i.e. Blue Magic. As such, he would be a Blue Mage, and nothing else (according to Luv's logic). I, on the other hand, find it much more logical to judge the primary job class by the stat growth and/or abilities the character can learn by traveling on their intended path on the Sphere Grid (by "intended", I mean the path they would take, if the player had no keys to open the locks), with the overdrive deciding the secondary job class, unless the overdrive just emphasises one of the primary job classes, in which case, it gets a primary "spot", like the case is with Yuna being a summoner first, White Mage second (well... that and then the fact that she is refered to as "summoner" through out the game, which takes priority over anything else). Using this logic, Kimahri would still primarily be a Blue Mage, but he would have a secondary job type as Dragoon.

- I never stated "Nothing else" for Kimahri though. Only, Yuna, Tidus, Lulu, Wakka, and Auron. ;) There IS unlocking spheres, though. You shouldn't just limit it to "one area" or their "starting area", Hecko. True, they do start there, but like I said on Tidus' discussion page, the programmers put them there to help benefit you and have you decide for yourself on where to continue them. The one thing I've always noticed is Kimahri's in the middle of the Sphere Grid. This means you can go anywhere with him if you want to, provided you have the appropriate unlocking spheres.

- That Kimahri is able to choose whatever path he wants only further proves the fact that he is a Blue Mage. And actually, I should limit them to their "starting area", because if you really want to be logical about it, and I mean splitting hairs-logical, Kimahri wouldn't be a Blue Mage or a Dragoon, he would simply be a Guardian. So would Lulu, Rikku, Wakka, Tidus and Auron as well, because technically, there is no job system. The reason I added "Primary job type" and "Secondary job type" to the FFX character template was because of the rather obvious parallels one could draw to the former games. Like I said on Tidus' Talk page, the intended path the programmers wanted them to take is what is considered "their's", so when Lulu learns Haste, she learns one of Tidus' skills, and if Auron learns Holy, he learns one of Yuna's skills. This is the most logical way to look at it, rather than the entire Sphere Grid being one big soup of everyone's skills.

- lol. Ok, I gotcha. But it really caused a serious internal debate within myself about this because how I saw it was in his Ronso Rage Overdrive he has "Jump". Then of course !Lancet popped up, and I kept saying to myself, "But what if he didn't use Jump first? Say he used !Lancet, then got Seed Cannon, then used that...That means he's a Blue Mage first, despite the Spear and the Jump ability." See what I'm saying? This went on all night in my head, and I even looked at the game too. Thanks again kind sir. :D

- No worries. They mixed up a lot of jobs into single characters, so it can get confusing. Rikku probably got hit the hardest (it has been debated what she is for some time, since she has traces from 6 or 7 different classes). --Hecko X 01:44, 27 January 2007 (UTC)I say, Blue Mage first but it is because the Ronso tribe has that abilities since they are of that race, in other words it's an inherit ability and in the other hand the Dragoons are their choice as it is for Biran. --Gustav 23:03, November 8, 2009 (UTC)

Kimahri Boss fight[]
I have to ask if anyone is working on a page for when Tidus fights Kimahri, because i can't seem to find one. --Kraftykeys 15:10, April 04, 2008 (CMT)
There isn't one. You can make it yourself if you want. Kimahri Ronso (Boss). | |||
Surname[]
I mean "Ronso" doesn't look like a surname for me. Why he would have the name of his race as a surname. Same go for the Guado. i think is just to say he is from the Ronso race and it isn't a surname.
Identical Celestial Weapon Abilities[]
Did anyone else notice that Kimahri and Wakka have another connecting factor other than the same English voice actor? (Jon Dimaggio.) Both of their Celestial Weapons - Kimahri's Spirit Lance and Wakka's World Champion - have the same four abilities when powered up by both their crests and sigils: Triple Overdrive, Break Damage Limit, Double AP, and Evade & Counter.
Wrong Theme Song Name?[]
Hey, I am just wondering about one thing: is the name of the theme song "People of the North Pole"? I read somewhere that the name is "Guardians of the Mountain" or something to that effect. 15px|Special:Contributions/Yuna467 Yunie X 14:41, August 14, 2012 (UTC)
- Well, our OST lists the track that plays at Mt. Gagazet as Servants of the Mountain, so there's that. Change in order? Jimcloud 14:50, August 14, 2012 (UTC)
- Seems like a good idea. May I change the name? 15px|Special:Contributions/Yuna467 Yunie X 14:52, August 14, 2012 (UTC)
Operation Mi'ihen[]
The page says that Kimahri will acknowledge Tidus as a friend after Operation Mi'ihen if the "right conditions are met." What are the "right conditions?" I don't see them anywhere on here.IronGasoline (talk) 19:32, July 14, 2015 (UTC)
- I don't know what these conditions are either, but I saw a page that says the same thing (http://edfinalfantasy.proboards.com/thread/3330/kimahri-ronso). Maybe there really are some conditions, maybe someone put this on both pages or copied from one to another. JC Holy Knight (talk) 02:00, July 15, 2015 (UTC)
