Aquatic enemies take increased damage from the Orichalcum and Trident.

Beast enemies take increased damage from the Excalibur and Werebuster.

Dragon enemies take increased damage from the Excalibur and Holy Lance.

Earth[]

Earth enemies take increased damage from the Gaia Blade.

Flying[]

Flying enemies take increased damage from the Demon Spear and Wing Sword.

Giant[]

Giant enemies take increased damage from the Excalibur and Ogrekiller.

Final Fantasy II is the first entry in the series in which players the effects of curative items and abilities are reversed against the undead. Undead enemies take increased damage from the Excalibur, Healing Staff, and Sun Blade.
