Description
Ahriman in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is a crimson variation of the Floateye enemy. Its sprite has a mouth, but its artwork doesn't.
Its high Move stat (5) and ability to fly over other units and high terrain make it one of the most mobile enemies. The Ahriman has the deadly Roulette spell, but also one of the lowest HP scores and low Defense. The Ahriman can lower the attack power of enemy units with the Circle ability. This skill more than doubles the time that the Ahriman gets to stay on the field before it is KO'd.
Roulette is arguably the hardest Blue Magic to learn. The Blue Mage must get hit with it, which is random nature, while under the effects of Auto-Life, as otherwise the mage will die without learning Roulette. The Blue Mage must not be immune to instant KO, because then Roulette will not work. Roulette's usefulness is debatable, but it can be useful when the player's team is outnumbered.
Since Ahrimans are capturable, their abilities can be used by Morphers alongside Floateye abilities. This includes Circle which lowers an enemy's damage output significantly. Both Ahriman and Floateye abilities don't provide damage (excluding Roulette), but they do provide a supply of debilitating status effects.
