Coeurl.
Coeurl is an enemy monster in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers.
Battle[]
Coeurls, like their cousins, the Fenrir Wolves, have high dexterity. When attacked with direct kinetic attacks, they tend to land on their feet. Unlike Fenrir Wolves, they do not automatically counter-attack; after it lands from being attacked kinetically, Layle will be able to perform kinetic Capture.
They like to attack using a powerful tackle but they can also use a strong but easy to evade Thunder spell and a powerful but slow-moving Plasma Blast attack. Layle can steal the Plasma Sphere from Coeurl after it is summoned and throw it back at him. While holding onto a Coeurl, the player will can use their unique lightning attacks against the enemy.
Etymology[]
The coeurl is a fictional alien race created by science-fiction writer A. E. van Vogt. Coeurls also appear in other fantastical environments, such as in Dungeons & Dragons (as "Displacer Beasts"). Coeurls are generally described to be feline with longer forelimbs and tentacles.
