Avalanche (雪崩 or なだれ or アバランチ, Nadare?), also called Surge, is a recurring ability from the Final Fantasy series. It has been usable by both the party and enemies, and does Ice-elemental damage.

Landslide is a Geomancer's Terrain ability. It deals non-elemental damage to all enemies with a 40% accuracy, power of 120, and a low backfire rate, and can only be used on mountains or on the third floor of Doga's Grotto.
Final Fantasy VI[]
Avalanche is an ability randomly used by Mog during Snowman Rondo. In the Advance and 2014 releases, it is also used by Kaiser Dragon and Ice Dragon. It does unblockable, ice-elemental damage to all targets.
Final Fantasy VII[]
Avalanche is an attack exclusive to Lessaloploth who appears only in the Great Glacier and the Battle Square. It inflicts Ice-elemental physical damage to the entire party.
Final Fantasy XIV[]
Avalanche is an ability used by Shiva whenever she wields a bow (Extreme mode only). It targets a single player and inflicts heavy knockback to the target (and anyone caught the attack), potentially pushing them into the ice wall.
Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift[]
Geomancers can use Avalanche when in snow. It does Ice-elemental damage to enemies and may inflict Sleep.
