Oh, shut up and help me remodel the Aru page!
Aru is the username of a player who became immersed into Final Fantasy XIV in Final Fantasy XIV Dad of Light. Eventually, the game itself became connected to her love life.
History[]
When Aru played the game, she eventually found herself in the Eastern La Noscea. Emotional over the scenery, she found living in the Black Shroud refreshing. Aru found herself wandering without a destination until she got attacked by a giant crab. Despite holding her own, Aru knew she would not last long. A mysterious new avatar appeared and saved her. Aru approached the avatar and asked if they would be her partner, to which they agreed.
Two years later, Aru had already met her partner in real life, a man by the name of Yukio, and the two were quickly married. However, they never had a wedding, since Yukio had to go abroad soon after.
During this time, Aru formed a Free Company with Maidy, Kirin, Lupinus, and Kuromachi. When Maidy discussed the situation concerning their father, Kirin proposed a plan for him to open up to them by inviting him into the game and interacting with him anonymously. Eventually, Maidy got their father set up under the username Indy.
Aru-chan's Eternal Bond[]
Indy spotted Aru with Yukio and asked what was up after he left. Aru eventually told the party her story, and felt as if she did not need the wedding, since she could connect with Yukio in-game.
The next day, Maidy proposed to have a wedding for Aru in Eorzea during the Ceremony of Eternal Bonding event, which was similar, knowing that Aru wanted a wedding deep down. Blushing, Aru reluctantly agreed.
Afterward, Aru heard her doorbell ring in real life. When she went to answer, she was surprised to see Yukio step in. He had managed to get a day off, and participated in the Ceremony from a coffee shop before pulling out two silver rings, apologizing for taking so long. Filled with tears and a smile on her face, Aru embraced her husband.
