Animal Burrow

Aire and Lilibelle in the Animal Burrow.

The Animal Burrow (動物の小道, Doubutsu no Komichi?) is a location in Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light. It is a very short pathway located in the mountains west of Liberte, acting as a passageway to Guera.

Story[]

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow. (Skip section)

After fighting the Brainshark inside the whirlpool in Liberte, Aire is transformed into a cat as punishment for her greediness. Jusqua, having left earlier, expresses his disdain for the young princess. Angered by his words, Aire decides to leave Liberte and travel to Arbor herself.

She and Lilibelle use the Animal Burrow as a passageway through the mountains to Guera, and then to Arbor. Inside the burrow, however, they come across an Ogre Bear, which attacks Aire, claiming that she smells like a human, and that humans are not allowed in the burrow. The bear kills Aire, but Lilibelle intervenes, driving the bear away and sacrificing her own life to save Aire, as payment for rescuing her earlier. As she dies, Lilibelle gives Aire her wings. The player is then granted the Bandit and Bard Crowns.
