Valkyries are female Rabbid enemies that appear in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. They wear armor and are equipped with machine guns on their breastplate, which they use to attack the heroes. Combined with their ability to damage nearby heroes after landing from a Team Jump, they are quite aggressive.
A mid-boss fought in the Lava Pit, Lava Queen, appears to be a Valkyrie, having similar armor and attacks.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle[]
Valkyries are introduced in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, first appearing in Spooky Trails. In their introductory cutscene, they shoot at Mario and his allies from off-screen, their shots hitting the ground around them in a heart shape. The Valkyrie then appears in front of them, appearing to make seductive body movements towards Mario. It then opens the machine guns on its armor and opens fire.

Valkyries are dangerous enemies that strike a balance between offense, defense, and mobility. Their main attack is their machine guns, which hit a target multiple times similar to the Rumblebang used by Yoshi and his Rabbid counterpart. Unlike most weapons, this attack has a rather low minimal damage, but a very high maximum damage, due to shooting multiple times. They also have an ability called Protection, similar to Peach's similarly-named ability, that lets them reduce damage dealt to all allies in its range for a turn via partial absorption. They can also use a Team Jump similar to Hoppers to gain additional mobility - while they can only use one Team Jump per turn, they will crash on the ground when they land creating a shockwave that damages any hero or enemy in the radius, similar to Yoshi's Ground Pound. Overall, they are difficult enemies to deal with, and if left alone they can make it much harder to defeat it and other enemies.
Variants[]
Two variants appear in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, each with their own designs and stats:
- Spooky Valkyries, who appear in Spooky Trails. They appear to be undead, have blue hair, and have silver and bronze armor. They have 360 HP, can use Protection, and can inflict the heroes with Bounce, launching the target backward.
- Lava Valkyries, who appear in the Lava Pit. They have a charred appearance, have red hair, and have black armor with a Koopa Troopa shell helmet. They have 540 HP (making them the non-boss enemy with the highest health in the game), can use Protection, and can inflict the heroes with Burn, making them run around aimlessly and potentially drawing them from behind cover.
