A Spiny Cheep in New Super Mario Bros. U.
A Spiny Cheep Cheep (also formatted as Spiny Cheep-Cheeps) is a purple-white Cheep Cheep (black with a white underside and green lips in their debut game) with spikes on its head, though as seen in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions they also have mohawk hair just like other Cheep Cheeps. They first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 3. Spiny Cheep-Cheeps chase Mario when they see him, just like a Deep-Cheep.
