FNAF: TED (Or, Five Nights At Freddy's: The Early Days) is a prequel to Five Nights At Freddy's 4. It was released on steam for $10.00. It features more nights than usual, with two weeks of the game taking place, both in different areas, with completely different mechanics.
Plot[]
The first week begins with a cutscene in a child's view.
You are in a restaurant with singing golden animatronics. A character leads you and 4 other children into a supply room, through red doors. The view then blacks out.
You work as a man working at an animatronic factory, who soon finds of that there's murderous springlock suits with corpses inside haunting you, as well as prototype animatronics too, who all are coming for him.
Gameplay[]
There are two weeks here, which will alter gameplay a ton. Once you beat week 1, week 2 will start.
You are in an office with 2 hallways, with a "Switch Conveyer" button in the middle. The hallways have conveyer belt flooring, and by using the button, can switch the direction in which they move. If one goes forward, the other goes backwards, and so forth.
You have no lights in this game, and you must rely on your hearing (what side is that sound coming from?) and occasional strikes of lightning to guide your way.
The cameras are back, and in a FNAF3 style. You can see your surroundings with the camera up, which will also let you see incoming animatronics before they jumpscare you. The camera is necessary, but is also loud, keeping you from hearing important noises.
If an animatronic is on a "backwards" conveyer, they will be shooed off. If an animatronic is on a "forwards" conveyer, they will be send straight into the office, causing a kill.
One animatronic, Fredbear to be precise, will not go on the conveyers in the office, and will instead go through the camera halls. You can shut doors around the facility to keep them from getting to your office, but only one door can be closed at a time, like sealing vents. Fredbear has many doorways to go through, so you aren't completely safe shutting a door which Fredbear would be guaranteed to go through.
