This article contains a list of all Golden Bananas that can be found on DK Isles in Donkey Kong 64 DS, a St. Clair Publications-produced enhanced remake of DK64.
Krusha[]
#1: The Adventure Begins![]
Literally the first banana you could ever possibly get. After finishing Cranky's training course and getting the Simian Slam, emerge onto DK Island and Squawks will show you the way home, via K. Lumsy's island, the only one he found that "wasn't blocked off". The problem? Krusha dies in water instantly, so you can't just swim to K. Lumsy like you could in the original game. You must go around to the other side of the island and find a DK Mask; THEN you can swim over.
K. Lumsy's dialogue in this game is different because he's talking to Krusha; either way, you agree to help him break free and he opens the way to Jungle Japes, revealing a Banana in the process.
#2: Mysterious Mountainside[]
In front of the entrance to Fungi Forest, shoot down an Orange Switch to reveal this Banana behind bars.
#3: Mound Builder[]
In the Creepy Castle lobby, first get Chunky to destroy a boulder blocking a Lanky Pad, then find a Lanky Mask and float up to the top of the "mound" with all the Wrinkly Doors on it. Finally, enter the Bonus Barrel to play Searchlight Seek. Your target inside is 10 Klaptraps.
#4: Helming a Symphony[]
Behind the Hideout Helm lobby, play your instrument on a Trumpet Pad. Squawks will give you a Banana and reveal a Chunky Barrel near the Banana Fairy Island in one fell swoop.
#5: Hidden Pirate Treasure[]
A black-haired Kasplat can be found in the Gloomy Galleon lobby. Beat it down, then take the blueprint to Snide.
DK[]
#1: Balloonatic[]
In the Angry Aztec lobby, find a Lanky Mask, then work your way through the labyrinth of Baboon Balloon and OrangStand sections. (Yes, this still counts for DK even though he was Lanky when he got it.)
#2: Down is Up[]
Somewhere on Crocodile Isle, on your path to Frantic Factory, fall down and shoot a Coconut Switch to reveal this Banana behind bars.
#3: Grab 'n' Go[]
In the Frantic Factory lobby, Gorilla Grab a lever, then ride up the newly-activated elevator and play your bongos on the Music Pad. This summons Squawks with the Banana in tow.
#4: Hailfire Peaks?[]
In the Crystal Caves lobby, get Chunky to Primate Punch ice walls on both ends of the area. Use the DK Barrel on one end to get the banana over molten lava on the other.
#5: Kasplat's Last Stand[]
A blonde Kasplat can be found in the Hideout Helm lobby. Beat it down, then take the blueprint to Snide.
Diddy[]
#1: Snide Remarks[]
Inside the "special" room with Snide's HQ, Simian Spring up into a Bonus Barrel, and win Batty Barrel Bandit (40 seconds, medium speed).
#2: Back to the Jungle[]
Go inside the DK's Treehouse area. Near where his Banana Hoard is, there is a DK Mask and Pad. Put the Mask on, then complete a round of Stash Snatch (33 coins, 120 seconds, Mad Maze Maul's music) at the end of the Barrel Blast course.
#3: Pikes Peak[]
First, outside the Angry Aztec lobby, get Chunky to destroy a boulder, then get Lanky to play on the Trombone Pad that was revealed. This spawns a Diddy Barrel at the Fungi Forest lobby. Now go there and use the Jetbarrel to reach a Bonus Barrel on the snowy peak of DK's head. Inside the Bonus Barrel is Peril Path Panic (10 Fairies).
#4: Echo Chamber[]
In the Crystal Caves lobby, play your instrument on a Guitar Pad. Squawks will promptly drop his new mixtape down.
#5: Red Dead Redemption[]
A red-haired Kasplat can be found in the Creepy Castle lobby. First, you must free it by having DK shoot down a Coconut Switch. Beat it down, then take the blueprint to Snide.
Lanky[]
#1: K. Lumsy's Kache[]
In the back of K. Lumsy's cage, shoot down a Grape Switch to free a Banana behind bars.
#2: Cave of the Dammed[]
In the Jungle Japes lobby, have Chunky get rid of a boulder blocking a Trombone Pad guarded by Gnawties, then play your trombone on it to get another Banana from Squawks.
#3: Swanky's Swag[]
First, get Krusha's fourth Banana. After revealing the Chunky Barrel, put on a Chunky Mask, enter the barrel, backflip onto the top of Swanky's Kong Klub, then backflip again to reach the rather high-up Banana.
#4: K. Lumsy's Other Kache[]
Inside K. Lumsy's prison, enter the Lanky Barrel, run to the Lanky switch (changed from a plain blue switch in the original), then run to the newly-revealed Banana within 8 seconds.
#5: Trumping the Ice Wall[]
In the Crystal Caves lobby, the same room with the DK Barrel also holds a blue-haired Kasplat. Beat him down to reap your reward.
Tiny[]
#1: (Banana) Fairy Tales[]
At the back of the Banana Fairy island, shoot down a Feather Switch to release a Banana from behind bars.
#2: The Aztecs' Hidden Treasure[]
In the Angry Aztec lobby, get Diddy to Chimpy Charge two gongs, then Ponytail Twirl your way into the Bonus Barrel and win Big Bug Bash (10 flies).
#3: Piranha Plants Not Included[]
In the Gloomy Galleon lobby, get Chunky to slam his switch using the Super Simian Slam, then enter the Tiny Barrel and work your way through the newly-opened sewer.
#4: The Shroom's Secret[]
On the ceiling of the Fungi Forest lobby, there's a mushroom floating around that, in the original game, only gave you access to a Battle Arena via a Chunky Pad. In this game, it gives you a Banana as well. Shoot it down using one shot from all six Kongs (with the mushroom's color indicating who you should shoot it with), then get the Banana.
#5: Living in a Box[]
In the Frantic Factory lobby, get Chunky to Primate Punch a ? Crate. You'll reveal a purple-haired Kasplat and a Banana Fairy.
#6: The Fairy Type Specialist[]
Get all 25 Banana Fairies, then return to the Fairy Queen for a special Banana with the St. Clair Publications logo on it. Among the Fairies' locations:
- DK Isles:
- At Swanky's Kong Klub
- Primate Punch a ? Crate in Frantic Factory's lobby
- Shoot down a Feather Switch in Fungi Forest's lobby
- Next to the Monkeyport pad near Hideout Helm's entrance
- Jungle Japes:
- Lanky gets her after picking up his second Banana.
- In the cave that Rambi opens.
- In the TNT Barrel room in Diddy's mine.
- Angry Aztec:
- Outside the vase in the Llama's Temple
- Inside a hidden room in Tiny's portion of the Five-Monkey Temple, accessible only via Tiny Barrel
- Inside the room that Diddy Kong is being held prisoner in.
- Frantic Factory:
- Reward for getting Krusha's first Banana.
- In the passageway leading to DK's second Banana.
- At Snide's.
- Gloomy Galleon:
- In the room with Chunky's third Banana, Primate Punch down the left treasure chest.
- Submerged in the sunken ship with Tiny Kong's second Banana.
- In the Mermaid's house.

- Inside the secret barn, in a ? Box on the upper floor.
- Diddy Kong must get his first Banana.
- Next to Candy's, night only.

- Get Chunky's fourth Banana.
- Creepy Castle:

- At the top of the castle, between Snide's and Diddy's Bonus Barrel, guarded by a Kosha.
The two Fairies that were in Hideout Helm in the original have been removed.
Chunky[]
#1: The Zinger's Nest[]
At the back of DK Island (where the wreckage of K. Rool's ship winds up being), shoot down a Pineapple Switch to free a Banana from behind bars.
#2: The Most Valuable Triangle[]
Near Angry Aztec's entrance, next to where you lifted a rock to reveal a Trombone Pad for one of Diddy's Bananas, get rid of another rock to reveal a Triangle Pad, and play your triangle on it so that Squawks will give you a Banana.
#3: Island Hopping[]
Near Swanky's Kong Klub, once Krusha has revealed a Chunky Barrel as part of one of his Bananas, go there and turn into Hunky Chunky. Simian Slam an island with an X on it to blow up another island a few steps away, then get the Banana that was just revealed.
#4: Something's Not Kosher[]
In Hideout Helm's lobby, look for a Bonus Barrel, and play Kremling Kosh (28 Kritters) for this Banana. You may wish to use Gorilla Gone to reveal some ropes so you can go across the lava.
#5: Mean Joe Green[]
In the Angry Aztec lobby, have Tiny shoot down a Feather Switch to reveal a hidden room. In that room, which in the original only gave Chunky his Wrinkly Door, dodge the Zingers and beat down the green-haired Kasplat for a blueprint.
The Silver Bananas[]
Any Kong can get these.
- Get all the Battle Crowns.
- Beat the game at least once (it's given to you after the credits)
- Successfully beat all the bonus games in Swanky's Kong Klub
- Take down all the DK dirt clods and get all the rainbow banana coins.
- Get all 4,200 regular bananas.
- Get all banana coins.
- Get all three minecart Bananas (not counting Minecart Mayhem bonus stages).
- Unlock all the games under the "DK Arcade" option in the Mystery menu.
- Beat one boss without taking damage.
- Achieve close to 101% completion: 250 Bananas and all of everything else. This will then be the last Banana you could ever possibly get, putting you over.
