In his youth, Bagon Bacon had close friendships with many of his fellow Bagons. All of them dreamed of one day growing up to become a Salamence, with majestic wings and flying across the region. However, he inadvertently swallowed an Everstone, which permanently lodged itself in his stomach and prevented him from ever becoming the Salamence he dreamed of being.
He became close with a Beldum, who was also unable to evolve. The two of them grew over the years but never evolved. The Ponga'a region grew, evolved, and eventually ripped apart into four seperate islands: the Alola region.
