Premise[]

FLASHBACK EPISODE!: Viv struggles to fit in on her first day of school and wishes to become the Most Popular Person at Dimmsdale Jr. High. Roy learns that popularity isn't everything and wishes for a new best friend who will truly love him, Buddy the butt-biting dog.

Plot[]

It’s Viv’s first day of school and Wanda and Cosmo offer to help her dress up better. She denies the help, but Roy asks them to help, and they dress him up like a matador.

Viv’s parents also try to have a fashion intervention with her. Rachel asks her if she’s allergic to trends. They explain to her that if she’s not trendy she won’t be popular. Viv insists she’s comfortable in her hoodie and jeans and wants to wear that.

Viv shows up to school and Vicky immediately picks on her and gives her detention. Vicky insists that Viv will be off the charts unpopular. Zina breaks down the lunch table options that Viv has to choose from - popular kids, popular international kids, popular band kids, popular chess kids and so on.

Wanda and Cosmo offer to help Viv fit in- but Viv tells them she doesn’t care about popularity. Cassidy, the MPP (most popular person) walks in and sits in a throne-like chair. Viv ends up sitting by the trash can by herself for ten days.

Viv gets frustrated and wishes that she were the most popular person in school. Viv starts to make proclamations as the MPP- countering all of the proclamations that Cassidy said. Viv tells everyone to do whatever they want.

Roy realizes that his friends aren’t really as good of friends as he thought so he wishes for a new dog, Buddy, who’s his best friend. However, the dog bites anyone’s butts if they get close to Roy- including Wanda and Cosmo.

Viv starts to realize that being the MPP is harder than she thought- she has to wake up at 5am and drink coffee. Cassidy bonds with Viv about the pressure getting to her too when she was MPP. Cassidy advises Viv to do something to make everyone hate her. This inspires Viv to announce that Buddy the dog is banished from Dimmsdale. The student body announce that Viv can no longer be MPP - they want Cassidy back.

Roy realizes that his old friends really are his true friends, and they miss him. Roy reunites with his boys. They hug and cry together. Everything goes back to normal.
