Rabid Rabbit is a television program that appeared in The Fairly OddParents television special, "Channel Chasers".

Information[]

This show is a parody of Looney Tunes characters Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny, and other characters that have appeared since the late 1930's and early 1940's. Only a brief scene inside this show is seen which resembles a scene from the 1951 Looney Tunes cartoon short, "Rabbit Fire". Another character, a white duck with its beak blown backwards, is a reference to Looney Tunes character Daffy Duck and resembles Disney character Donald Duck.

Background[]

This show is the sixteenth show visited in "Channel Chasers", after Timmy Turner wished for a Magic TV Remote that allowed him to travel through television as if the programs were real worlds. Timmy, his future self, Cosmo, and Wanda were pursuing Vicky through the channels to stop her from reaching the Biographical Channel and taking over the world. Timmy is seen dressed as a hunter, a reference to Elmer Fudd, a character from the Bugs Bunny cartoons. His companions are rabbits resembling Bugs Bunny himself, and Cosmo references Bugs' catchphrase "What's up Doc?" when he says "What's up Dork?" to a duck, a reference to Daffy Duck, that had the misfortune of meeting Vicky before them. A sign reading "Vicky Season" is also seen posted on a tree, a reference to "Rabbit Season", a running joke between Elmer, Daffy, and Bugs throughout the original cartoon.

Trivia[]

  • In this show, Cosmo, Wanda, and Older Timmy all resemble Bugs Bunny (the popular character from Looney Tunes and also the mascot of Warner Bros.), while Timmy resembles Elmer Fudd (Bugs Bunny's antagonist), except he has a net instead of a shotgun.
  • Some of the voice actors on the Fairly Odd Parents were also on Looney Tunes.
