The first time you encounter the boss, it will let you pass. You will clear the exploration but the mission to defeat the boss can only be done on repeat run.

Map Tips[]

• See testimonials and discussions.
• Each floor does not have a mini-map until its respective tablet is examined.
• Random fights are quite difficult and may include pre-emptive attacks - bring a strong team including a source of MP recovery.
  • The Jokers will cast Death, so bring death resistance.
• Random enemies, including those with innate resistances to a certain category of attacks, are still vulnerable to status ailments. Use Toxic Rain or Rikku's Pouch to trivialize a great deal of the dungeon.
• The boss is much harder than typical world bosses. With difficulty reaching upper trial level, approximately 8-10★.
• It is recommended to take Madam Edel into your party on your first run because you are not required to defeat Zilant on the first clear. The stage will end before reaching the boss. Upon entering the second time you will have a battle that has a predefined, written scenario.
• Make sure you step on the magic circle on Floor 25, which will activate 2-way teleportation to Floor 21. This will help you to bypass all encounters before you fight Zilant later.
• When you do re-enter the ruins on your second run, you will start immediately on Floor 25, before the boss battle.
• Only by your third run can the Violet Gem mission be completed.

Boss Tips[]

• You need to kill the Dark Elemental first, as it can cast DEF/SPR and mitigation buffs on Zilant that cannot be dispelled.
• The first battle against Zilant is predefined, and it will follow 3 thresholds on Dark Elemental:
  • 79% HP - The first dialogue occurs.
  • 59% HP - The second dialogue occurs.
  • 49% HP - The third dialogue occurs.
  • Turn after - Madam Edel will come to help and will kill both Zilant and Dark Elemental.
• You need only an evasion physical cover tank in this fight to take nearly no damage.
