Etymology

A lë- prefixed formation, from an unattested *kunda, from Proto-Albanian *kunda, related to Proto-Germanic *hutaną (to swing) (cf. Middle High German hutzen), and perhaps Lithuanian kuzdeti (to tremble), kùdulti (to pull hair hair or beard).[1]
