This is the talk page for discussing a candidate for election to the Arbitration Committee.

I tend to fall on the harsher side than average, especially as it concerns desysoppings, which is because I believe admins serve at the pleasure of the community, and a desysop has an immediate, clear appeals process; RFA

This is completely incorrect. A desysopped admin cannot override ArbCom with a RfA, because ArbCom can void the result. The procedure requires the former admin to first approach ArbCom for approval. Desysopping is supposed to be only for blatant misuse of administrative tools, gross or persistent misjudgment or conduct issues (WP:ADMIN). This answer shows that Courcelles doesn't know what he's talking about, and raises grave doubts about his suitability as a candidate. Hawkeye7 (talk) 18:21, 20 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
