New Caledonia

[edit]

Hi. You're probably unaware of this, but this edit you made to New Caledonia removed this source which is referenced several times in the article. I've reverted your edit for the moment. The information about the last cyclone to affect the country will have to be separately sourced if it's to be included. Kind regards. Beejaypii (talk) 07:38, 6 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As you appear to be a new editor, I should explain something about referencing. If you look at the edit I performed to restore the reference in question you'll see that the reference is named using the following markup: <ref name="ped">. That reference is also used elsewhere in the article using the markup <ref name="ped"/> (note the forward slash). If you want to include the info about the latest cyclone you'll have to move the whole reference to the first place in the text where it is also used and introduce a new source for the latest cyclone info. I apologise if I'm telling you something you're already aware of here. More information is available here. Kind regards. Beejaypii (talk) 07:56, 6 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 18:41, 6 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
