Invitation to participate in a research
[edit]Hello,
The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.
You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.
The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .
Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.
Kind Regards,
BGerdemann (WMF) (talk) 19:22, 23 October 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for the invitation but I've done enough online surveys only to get to the final question which requires me to divulge personal information or have my responses discarded. I now opt-out before question #1, thanks. Cabayi (talk) 14:19, 24 October 2024 (UTC)
COIN
[edit]Hello Cabayi, I wondered if you might take a look at the following COIN thread [1] and let me know what action might be taken. Any input gratefully received, Axad12 (talk) 10:15, 27 October 2024 (UTC)
- Axad12, it looks like this has been brought to a conclusion. Cabayi (talk) 13:21, 27 October 2024 (UTC)
Hello,
You have been contacted requesting help to remove content from Whigfield. The Page has been "extended protected" by a user, in order to not have the content restored. The information that has been removed is relevant and is included in other Wikipedia articles and other language versions of the Page. Previously, COI has been reported, and many removals of information have happened. Therefore, I think that this particular protection is ill-intentioned and I believe that the erased content should be restored before protecting the Page, in order to include the relevant information, improve the article and avoid censorship motivated by COI.
Thank you, Fixfxx (talk) 23:35, 27 October 2024 (UTC)
- I've told Fixfxx to stop asking admins to make edits for them. CambridgeBayWeather (solidly non-human), Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 23:38, 27 October 2024 (UTC)
Reminder to participate in Wikipedia research
[edit]Hello,
I recently invited you to take a survey about administration on Wikipedia. If you haven’t yet had a chance, there is still time to participate– we’d truly appreciate your feedback. The survey is anonymous and should take about 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement.
Take the survey here.
Kind Regards,

[edit]Hello, thanks for changing my username. I’d been wanting to change for it for awhile now but had been putting it off. ErickTheMerrick (talk) 17:34, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
