Hello, I'm Ravensfire. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Atif Aslam discography, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. The edit you're making to the article has two problems. The biggest problem is that there isn't a secondary source supporting the edit. That's a major issues as the article concerns a living person. You MUST have sources for something like this. Second, this shouldn't be added to the discography article, it really should be in the main Atif Aslam article, and there's nothing about it there. Without good sources that support the entire edit, it won't matter where you put it though, it will still be removed. Ravensfire (talk) 13:36, 11 April 2020 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Baarishein
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Baarishein requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://dailytimes.com.pk/354516/atif-aslam-sings-about-love-and-separation-in-baarishein/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Your addition to Baarishein has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. See Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources for more information. Your article is just about a complete copy-paste from this article
[1]. That's a blatant copyright violation, you CANNOT do that. For an editor that "know almost everything" this is a glaring gap of knowledge. This is not acceptable. Ravensfire (talk) 14:14, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
- And then you copy-pasted from Draft:Dil Meri Na Sune which essentially claimed the article as your work, and despite a reviewer declining it for reasons of notability. Never, EVER do a copy-paste move, and if a draft article has been declined, don't move it to main article space, improve the draft and re-submit. Ravensfire (talk) 14:18, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
- And now you've done it AGAIN. You cannot just change a few words. That's both a copyright violation still and it's utterly lazy on your part. Enough. No more of that or this will get taken to the administrators. Too much time is being taken by too many people cleaning up after you. I like your enthusiasm but don't like the mistakes you keep making and aren't learning from. Ravensfire (talk) 05:14, 16 April 2020 (UTC)
- More stuff - please don't upload images of living people that you find online to Wikipedia. They're almost always copyrighted so uploading them is a copyright violation. The Asim Azhar image you grabbed from Facebook is copyrighted. Until you have more experience, please don't do this again. You can use WP:FFU if you would like something uploaded and they generally will help avoid copyright issues. Ravensfire (talk) 14:33, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for April 15
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Asim Azhar, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page PSA (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 16:18, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
Indic script
Please avoid adding indic script to article leads and infoboxes. See WP:INDICSCRIPT for more information on this. Thanks. Ravensfire (talk) 17:58, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
