The Sony Xperia XZ is an Android smartphone manufactured and marketed by Sony.[2] Part of the Xperia X series, the phone was announced to the public along with the Xperia X Compact at a press conferences which was held at IFA 2016 on September 1, 2015.[3]
The phone serves as the successor of the Xperia X Performance and it is the first phone manufactured by Sony which utilizes USB Type-C connectivity for charging and data transfer.[4] Unlinke it's predecessors, the rear camera of the phone utilizes laser and phase detection autofocus along with a RGB sensor for accurate colors.[5]
