Description
English: Photograph of the Averitt Center for the Arts in Statesboro, Georgia, USA. The Averitt Center for the Arts is located in downtown Statesboro next to the Bulloch County courthouse. If you were able to pan towards the left of this photograph, you would be able to see the courthouse. The Averitt Center for the Arts is located in the renovated Bank of Statesboro building and the renovated theater next to it. The Averitt Center for the Arts uses the three story space of what was once the Bank of Statesboro to house galleries, offices, and artist studios. The renovated theater is now the Emma Kelly Theater which connects to the gallery space. The theater is used for plays and community events. Photograph taken by Richard Chambers with an Olympus C-740 digital camera around 7pm on Friday, June 10, 2005. He attended the reception for the Statesboro Regional Arts Association exhibition which is on display June 10 through August 7, 2005. The exhibition contains paintings and other works of art created by members of the Statesboro Regional Arts Association.
