Summary

Description

The 1959 Pattern Denison Parachute Smock (usually refered to simply as the en:Denison Smock) was cut less generously than earlier versions as it was no longer intended to be worn over personal equipment (but under parachute harness) while parachuting. The hemline was also much higher, the zipper was now full-length, and exposed, and wool cuffs had been added. The most obvious change, however, was in the pattern and colour of the camouflage.
