David Titov (born 5 January 2000), also knows as Deivids Titovs or Deivids Titov, is a professional footballer who plays for Mjølner as a right back and right winger.

Titov is a product of the Brentford academy and began his professional career with Brentford B. Following his release in 2020, Titov played in the League of Ireland and non-League football. He moved to Norway in 2022 and joined lower-league club Mjølner. Titov was capped by Latvia at youth level.

Club career

Brentford

Initially a right back, Titov began his youth career with Spelthorne Sports, Bedfont Green, Esher Wizards, and CB Hounslow United.[3][4][5] He began training with the Brentford U16 academy team in 2015 and was a member of the U15 squad which competed at the 2015 Milk Cup.[5][6] Titov officially joined the club on 31 July 2015 and his progress was rewarded with a two-year scholarship in January 2016.[2][5] Despite the closure of the Brentford academy and the disbandment of the youth team in May 2016,[7] Titov remained at Griffin Park and played for the club's B and Griffins teams during the 2016–17 season.[2][8]

Titov was promoted into the B team for the 2017–18 season and signed a professional contract on 1 July 2017.[1][2] Over the course of the following three seasons,[9] Titov gained experience as a right winger and was a part of the 2018–19 Middlesex Senior Cup-winning squad.[10][11] By the time of his release in June 2020, Titov had made 103 B team appearances and scored five goals.[12]

St Patrick's Athletic

On 29 July 2020, it was announced that Titov had signed a contract with League of Ireland Premier Division club St Patrick's Athletic, running until the end of the 2020 season.[13] Despite Titov's opening five appearances garnering him the club's August 2020 Player of the Month award,[14] he was then dropped to the bench and did not make any further appearances during the season.[15]

Metropolitan Police

In October 2021, Titov transferred to Southern League Premier Division South club Metropolitan Police.[16] He made 27 appearances and scored one goal during a 2021–22 season which concluded with defeat in the playoff semi-finals.[17][18]

Mjølner

In late July 2022, Titov transferred to Norwegian Third Division club Mjølner.[19] He became eligible to play on 4 August 2022 and made 12 appearances during the remainder of the 2022 season.[20] Titov was retained for the 2023 season and made 24 appearances,[21] scoring two goals.[20] Following a trial with Moss and spending the first half of the 2024 season as a free agent,[22][23] Titov re-signed with Mjølner in August 2024.[24]

International career

Titov was capped by Latvia at U19 and U21 level.[25] He was part of the team which won the 2018 U19 Baltic Cup.[26] More than two years after his previous U21 cap,[25] Titov was named in the squad for a training camp in June 2021.[27]

Personal life

Titov is of Latvian descent on his mother's side.[28][29]
