An exciting and pacy forward that the French are hoping will come good over the years. Signed by ex-manager Gerard Houllier from Le Harve in 2001 after a blistering performance in the 2001 Under-17 Championships, along with cousin Anthony Le Tallec. He has pace and composure, making comparisons between him and Thierry Henry spring to mind. He was the Silver Boot winner in the 2001 Under-17 Championships, making him the second best player in the tournament. Yet to fulfill his potential, he has shown glimpses of what he can do. Having scored a memorable debut goal in his first appearance against Fulham in the dying seconds, expectations of him have rocketed sky high. It will take time but many feel it is just a matter of time.
