Wandsbek (Map) is the largest (Pop.: 400.000) of seven districts that are comprising the City of Hamburg (Freie und Hansestadt Hamburg, Germany). Like the rest of the city it is divided into precinct and quarters. They are

The district is mostly suburban: Only three quarters in the core precinct of Wandsbek (Eilbek, Wandsbek, Marienthal) are urbane and part of the city's economic and cultural core. The more northerly parts of Wohldorf-Ohlstedt, Volksdorf, Duvenstedt are still quite rural, where one can find a mix of newer residences and farms.
