Wandsbek
Appearance
Wandsbek (Map) is the largest (Pop.: 400.000) of seven districts that are comprising the City of Hamburg (Freie und Hansestadt Hamburg, Germany). Like the rest of the city it is divided into precinct and quarters. They are
- Precinct Wandsbek (5 Quarters):
- Precinct Alstertal (4 Quarters):
- Precinct Bramfeld (2 Quarters):
- Precinct Rahlstedt (1 Quarter):
- Precinct Walddörfer (6 Quarters):
The district is mostly suburban: Only three quarters in the core precinct of Wandsbek (Eilbek, Wandsbek, Marienthal) are urbane and part of the city's economic and cultural core. The more northerly parts of Wohldorf-Ohlstedt, Volksdorf, Duvenstedt are still quite rural, where one can find a mix of newer residences and farms.
