What is up with this category? It is too inclusive. There are over 100,000,000 women in the United States, if that's what you mean by "American". Even if you only include notable women from the US who have articles here, it would be in the thousands. --rogerd 00:45, 3 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, at this time, there are only about 20 individual women in this category, but, for the reasons you mention, it does not seem like a very useful category. Andrea Parton 00:48, 6 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There is little use applying this category to individuals, its only real use is organising subcategories by sex.--Peta 02:45, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
