Chlothar (Latin Chlotharius; Greek Khlōthários Χλωθάριος; French Clotaire) is a Germanic given name, attested in Old English as Hloþhere, in Old High German as Lothari (Lothair, Lothar), and reconstructed in Frankish as *Hlodhari.
