Welcome, I'm Matt! Feel free to drop me a message on my talk page!

I am a Londoner, and I've been casually editing Wikipedia since April 2017. My main specialism is articles on British elections and politicians. I'm liable to take long Wikibreaks every now and again!

Projects

[edit]

I have extensively edited the Merton election series, including creating articles for historic elections, adding historic results, and chronicling local political parties.

Some of my proudest work

[edit]
  • Stumbling on Rosa Smester Marrero's article as a draft AfC, I provided much of the referencing from a collection of obscure Spanish-language sources that were, to the best of my knowledge, yet to be synthesised.
  • I wrote much of the history section for Mebyon Kernow, a Cornish nationalist political party.
  • I overhauled the entry for Bill Boaks, an eccentric British political campaigner from the second half of the 20th century.
  • Finally, I brought back to life the entry for Pauline Pearce, the 'Heroine of Hackney' from the 2011 riots, following her entry into British mainstream politics.
