Sophie Francine Hilbrand (born 5 October 1975) is a Dutch radio and television presenter and actress.

Biography

Hilbrand was born as the daughter of a businessman and a secretary. She has a sister, Claire, and lived until her eighth year in Bergen and then in Nuenen. She attended secondary school, and then took a year at the Fashion Academy in Eindhoven. Hilbrand then moved to Amsterdam to take a three-year bachelor's degree marketing and communication followed. She starred in commercials, wrote for Story, Break-Out and the defunct magazine More Magazine and studied theater part-time, she broke off after one and a half years to debut in 6pack.

As an actress Hilbrand Talmen played in short films and ???, both broadcast by the NPS. She also starred in a commercial for TNT. She also acted in the films Summer Heat (2008, lead) and Red Alert: The War Within (2009, guest star).

Television career

She debuted at SBS 6, 6pack program. In 2004 Hilbrand moved to BNN. In 2005, she was a reporter for the World Cup under 20 for the NOS, together with Jan Joost van Gangelen.

Private life

Hilbrand has a relationship with the actor Waldemar Torenstra since the autumn of 2006. Together they played in 2008 Summer heat, the film adaptation of Jan Wolkers' book. Hilbrand and Torenstra together have a daughter and a son.
