Barnstar

Thanks for the barnstar. My first ever. Maybe in the near future I can help again in majority of the editing in Survivor Philippines articles, but not right now. Thanks again. --Ja 1207 (talk) 01:21, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Black or Cursed Pearl???

Regarding your message: Use "Cursed Pearl." It is termed "Black Pearl" in the show; however it was colored black only in Palau. The Cursed Pearl in the first season was actually silver, so it is inappropriate to call it a "black" pearl. Therefore, the Pearl is termed according to its function rather than its color just for consistency across seasons. Ja 1207 will also agree on "Cursed Pearl" as well. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 08:55, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Reunion Special Dates to be included to the Original Run section

Sorry, I cannot answer your question. Again, just ask Ja 1207 (I can't tend to the page due to work). Also, look at the Survivor US articles. Furthermore, instead of annoying me by putting questions on my talk page, please just put your suggestion on the talk page rather than on mine. I'm not on a mood to answer Survivor-related at this moment. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 10:42, 25 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Janbryan, I really don't know about that though. You can change it, until someone objects. As for me, I am neutral.--Ja 1207 (talk) 04:09, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Nielsen Soundscan

(Your question:) Hi! I just want to ask where did you get the number-one albums for the years 1978, 1979 and 1980 that Nielsen Soundscan had compiled. Nielsen Soundscan was created in 1991. How was it possible for it to already compile these charts without creating itself yet? Janbryan (talk) 04:08, 6 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Answer: I did not create the part about Nielson Soundscan; it was already there. I added the parallel RPM charts because they were used as the standard from at least 1968 onward and ran for some time simultaneously with Nielson's lists.

You will see that starting at 1981 (right up to 1990 and beyond), there are further such lists. I would have completed the addition of the RPM parallel lists, but it is time-comsuming in the extreme. Someday I'll get to them. User talk:Scarbluff

Recent edits to 23rd Awit Awards

Hello, and thank you for your recent contributions. I appreciate the effort you made for our project, but unfortunately I had to undo your edit(s) because I believe the article was better before you made that change. Surely there was no need to remove all the details? Feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions. Thank you! Greenmaven (talk) 04:31, 29 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Formal Note re: potential COI Editing and the risk of violating Wikipedia'a Terms of Use

Dear Janbryan

In our recent talk page discussion where I took umbridge for appeared to be an attempt to edit for pay without disclosure, you told me that I should do what I was gonna do [sic]. I am leaving you this note to advise you that I have considered what that should mean. I have reviewed your last thousand edits or so and found no evidence of a concerning pattern of behaviour wrt paid editing. However, I do believe, on the balance of probabilities, that your attempts to create Daniel Margotta was a direct action as a paid editor - and the concerning pattern of behaviour was also noted by another editor commentating in his estimeed role as a talk page stalker.

What is frustrating is that all the TOU requires you to do is to declare the payment on your talk page and for you to edit according to the COI rules. That you chose to obfuscate and deny the obvious simply made a marginal situation concerning and is actually the only part of the whole thing that gives me pause for considering action.

That said, I will not be taking any formal adminstrative action at this time. I am leaving this message (which I expect will immediately pass into the memory hole of your talk page history) to formally record my concerns and confirm that I have formally warned you about the potential TOU violation and drawn your attention to the COI rules. I will also periodically check your contributions for evidence of further attempts at undeclared paid editing. If I see anything concerning I will then consider what further action is required. Remember: all you have to do to comply with the rules and TOU is to declare the payment/agreement to act. If you do that, I will not have cause for concern.
