Yeah, I actually noticed that you semi-protected your userpage. Was it really getting hit that much? I'm really surprised, I haven't been getting any angry lashouts...of course, that could be because I've been mostly involved with blocking people since getting the tools. Not sure they can do much after that. :P Sorry about that angry e-mail, that sounds like a hassle, but I don't think the mother knew what she was defending. And yeah, that's freaking twisted. I haven't done a ton of CSD work yet, but I plan to on the soonish side. Other than angry vandals and parents, how are the tools treating you? :No problem! I drop in every now and again, but I'll make more of a concerted effort from now on. :) GlassCobra 02:49, 9 November 2007 (UTC) |

::Thanks -- I saw you there today when we actually had managed to get the onslaught of crap down to just a few more pages to delete... of course, you go and have something to eat and it's right back up to your neck again <sigh> -- so any help is gratefully received. (Can you tell I'm starting to take this personally? LOL) Accounting4Taste 05:19, 9 November 2007 (UTC) |

Hello, Ryan!!!
Hi, just to let you know, I'm a major fan of yours. This is why I made a sort of copycat account from yours. Good luck in Canada!
Yours truly,

Block of Gingerkids (talk · contribs)
Hi there. Just thought I'd let you know that I would personally have gone with an indefinite block. His contributions show a barrage of nonsense page creation, BLP violations and harassment—there isn't gonna be anything productive here. Best, Fvasconcellos (t·c) 19:09, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the note; erring on the side of caution does beat recklessness any day :) I've only had the tools since June myself. Keep up the good work, and rest assured it doesn't hurt to be bold every now and then ;) Fvasconcellos (t·c) 19:19, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
Removal of Dog Daycare TALK Discussion!?
I would like to know why you removed my EXPLANATION to the individual that had an issue with the falsely identified copyright violation for the Dog Daycare article that I posted earlier. The individual that had an issue with it asked that I explain the situation via talk, which I did, and then you removed it. What is the problem? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jlippiner (talk • contribs) 22:26, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
Incorrect identification of copyright holder
I respect your note and the time you are taking, however, the original matter of the copyrighted material has still not been addressed. When my article was deleted another website that "claims" to be the copyright holder of the work was referenced. As my talk discussion pointed out, they are, in fact, NOT the copyright holder for this content, which is the ABKA. I have contacted the ABKA for permission but this information is the information they make PUBLICLY available when asked "what is a dog daycare."
Please let me know exactly what you would like me or the ABKA to do to have the original article reposted.

How to access original to get some content?
Ok, I have started to rewrite the post and have the beginning done and ready to post. I would like to get back the original post I did so I can copy some of the references and examples that were posted as that was also original research and I would prefer to not have to repeat myself. Where can I view the deleted post? (p.s. how can I get an email whenever someone responds to a talk I posted?) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jlippiner (talk • contribs) 23:56, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, but MY content is missing?
Umm, thanks for reposting the article but you posted the part that was from the ABKA and left out all the original research and work I did of examples of dog daycares. What happened? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jlippiner (talk • contribs) 14:06, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
Re: Cruse Brothers' Production
Dear Accounting4Taste
I have to say I was very amused by your response, and also that it is very helpful. It's funny that my original message to you was "polite" and then I went back and edited adding two sentences (which you both quoted in your message), I figured you would never read it or respond so that's why I added them. I want to convey my gratitude for your response to my message and for the tips. Obviously my comment about not ever visiting Wikipedia was an exaggeration, I was on just a minute after sending the original message (it's just too interesting). Your line about not having to delete my next unsuitable article got me laughing very hard. Hopefully there are no hard feelings, my original Talk message was innappropriate and did not actually express my true feelings.
I have not yet visited the article you sent me the link to, but plan to very soon. I will try again, though, I hope you know! Maybe the next time you come across our article it will be approved (and spelled correctly! funny how those things sometimes just slip) and you might read it and be interested in it. As you said, we our amateur filmmakers, but hopefully not much longer!
Once again, I hope we have come to an understanding and I apologize for my comment. I would greatly appreciate it if you responded again. Don't forget to check out our Cruse Brother's Brothers' Production website... who knows maybe you'll like what you see. But from what I read on your page, you're into the historical stuff, sorry... none yet!
Sincerely,
Mr. Cruse —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jlcruse430 (talk • contribs) 23:10, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
Stations and expressways in Japanese
Hello and thanks for the many speedies that you've done for articles I've marked! I thought it might be a good idea to bring to your attention the sheer number of articles in Japanese that a single contributor (Ken-train19890106) has added to the English wiki. I'm getting bored of going through them and stubbifying and wikifying them, so if you want to continue where I left off, there's still a significant number of them dating back quite some time. Unfortunately, none of us really has the resources to be translating these articles he's adding. But again, thanks for the speedies! :D -Yupik 23:20, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
Would you mind deleting this....thanks! Tiptoety 01:10, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
- Done Never mind, i spoke to soon, thanks! Tiptoety 01:11, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
For info. Plus looks like it worked out all okay on the Cruse Brothers thing - the other editor seems happy so it's all good! Pedro : Chat 08:21, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
Thank you
Thanks my freind. I totally support the block, but would not do it myself because of a conflict of interest. I doubt that user has anything useful to bring to the 'pedia! Pedro : Chat 19:03, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
- BTW - My wife sends her thanks and love to you and yours for your actions. She wasn't too impressed by the comments (understatement!) by that user, and is so glad for your kind attention. Pedro : Chat 19:07, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
- Just to let you know I mentioned it at WP:ANI as we were both involved. Pedro : Chat 19:33, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
- And the result was............. block fully endorsed by three independent administrators [1]. Pedro : Chat 20:25, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

Bridge
Thanks for your note. Yeah, if you're involved it's best to pop something in to WP:ANI just to cover yourself and keep it transparent. Three admin endorsements does the job! Now, moving on, if I'd known you were a bridge man I'd have nominated you earlier for adminship....... (three clubs but I'm playing Acol so it's a weak two no trumps ....... (I spent my college years failing to studay and playing way to much bridge....!!!)) Pedro : Chat 20:37, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
- <belly laugh> I cut my teeth on Acol 35 years ago and wasted too much time in university studying for and playing in tournaments... decided to take up more steady work, but I still am on the tournament trail. I play good old Standard American five-card majors these days with my favourite partner, but also play Acol, Blue Club, 2/1, and any other system I can find a partner for (I have been looking at Marmik, Carrot Club, and all kinds of artificial systems, but can't find anyone who shares my enthusiasm for these things). I expect you would have known sooner if I had used my original choice of nom, which was 7NTXX!! Accounting4Taste 20:44, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
- 7NT-BID-AND-MADE - mega username. I'd better get it and add it to my sock list! Pedro : Chat 21:12, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

Hi Accounting4Taste,
I agree with you that User:TragedyStriker probably blanketed a bunch of admins with his concerns. Between the two of us, I think we've said everything that needs saying. Hopefully he'll contest the matter through proper channels if he continues to have concerns. Canderson7 (talk) 12:45, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
