This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Organizations and social programs. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.

Adding a new AfD discussion

Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:

1. Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
2. You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Organizations|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.

Removing a closed AfD discussion

Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.

Other types of discussions

You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Organizations and social programs. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). There is no assertion of notability and while I do not read Russian, Google Translate accesses it with some ease and I'm unable to find N:ORG level coverage. I do not think a redirect to or merge with Gymnazium Union of Russia is viable as I'm not sure that would survive AfD either although the name makes a BEFORE more challenging.   This list is not about academics or educators.

  The intention is that it pulls together an up to date and easy to navigate list of national academies such as those listed (poorly) on National Academy. With the intention that this list could be removed from National Academy once this list has been created.

• Comment I don't currently have a strong opinion on merge, redirect, or draftify. There's also the National Academies category [1] to help in the goals here. Regardless of the outcome, I would also really appreciate this information being listed together somewhere as TheResilientEngineer added. I am currently working on updating scientists elected to the American NAS, but in the long term and I hope to move onto other academies after this. Hi. Thanks for your response (although I don't fully understand it!).

The problems with this page arise from the fact that fuller information about this organisation has been deleted (on grounds of copyright). "Notability isn't inherited" - I think what you are saying that it isn't of interest that the grand-daughter of those who campaigned for women's suffrage is campaigning in this area today. I would have thought that is arguable. Either way, how is that a reason for deleting an entire page about a major campaigning organisation, rather than simply amending it? I'm saying that it appears that Centenary Action is inheriting notability from that great-grandaughter, which I interpret to be something in violation of an invalid way to get notability.   Your objection makes reference to a company. There is no company and no ownership. This is simply a campaign organisation to increase the representation of women in the UK parliament.

In addition to what Cunard has listed above, I find a number of articles in a Swedish newspaper archive, e.g. "10 000 familjer väntar på napp" (Helsingborgs Dagblad, 16 November 1996, 250 words mostly about Intervac), "Bostadsbytare samlas i Åhus" (local paper, and with interview portions, so not a terribly important addition to this conversation; Kristianstadsbladet 27 July 2007, 500 words), and a lot of shorter pieces in articles where people talk about house swapping in general and discuss Intervac as an important predecessor. /Julle (talk) 13:07, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Based on the sourcing in this article, the organisation does not meet WP:NCORP. The Hebrew article isn’t any help in terms of additional sources that would show the topic is notable.
