editThis article looked like a stub, and contained only the following text. As such, I decided to expand and update it. The original text is as follows:
Detroit Wolverines were a 19th century baseball team that played in the National League from 1881 to 1888. The team played in Detroit, Michigan.
NL champions 1887
This article was my first real edit on the 'pedia, and I wrote the above on the talk page before I understood how article history worked. Still makes me smile to see it. -Colin Kimbrell 20:47, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
photo oddments

- Ooh, good catch. They look like cut-and-paste jobs. As does the guy standing at the right end. Doctoring of pictures was not so uncommon, even then, except they lacked computers and photoshop to do it a bit more subtly than this. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 00:15, 11 November 2011 (UTC)
