Maria Muttergottes sitzt, mit dem Kind auf dem Schoß, auf einer Kathedra, hinter ihr beschützend die Hand über das Jesukind haltend, (Groß-) Mutter Anna. Engel flankieren das Geschehen, einen Vorhang haltend. Masolino malte die Mutter Anna, Masaccio Maria.
