Andrea Alpago

Andrea Alpago (Belluno, 1450 – Padua, 1521) is an italian physician and arabist. He worked in Damascus as physician to the Venitian consul. He is best known for his translation of works by Ibn Sina. He was appointed professor of medicine in Padua in 1521, where he taught for only two months before hsi death.
