Knight of the Solitary Gaol is an optional boss in Shadow of the Erdtree. They are encountered in the Western Nameless Mausoleum.

Background[]

The nameless spirit of a member of the Knights of the Solitary Gaol that lingers within a mausoleum in the Realm of Shadow.^[1] These knights offered their hearts through esoteric rite, gaining heightened battle prowess. Their steel greatswords bear two carved emblems: one symbolizing the light of birth and the other, solitude.^[2]

Appearance[]

Wears a heavy set of overlapping steel armor: Armor of Solitude, Gauntlets of Solitude, Greaves of Solitude, and the Helm of Solitude. Wields a Greatsword of Solitude and a Repeating Crossbow.

• This character was named Blackgaol Knight (孤牢の騎士, Korō no Kishi) in a previous version of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree.
