Dropped by dual dagger-wielding Fire Knights with a 4% droprate.

Notes[]

• Generally leans towards Dexterity-scaling over Strength-scaling.
• Despite the description this dagger actually has higher Faith-scaling and raw Attack Power (AP) on a Sacred affinity than on a Flame Art affinity. It's also outclassed in raw AP by a Flame Art affinity Erdsteel Dagger.
  • However, the Fire Knight's Shortsword's Flame Art affinity usually has higher effective damage than the Sacred affinity due to only having to bypass 2 flat defences rather than 3, and the Fire damage will be higher on its own than either the Sacred affinity's Holy damage or the Flame Art Erdsteel Dagger's Fire damage.
• Surprisingly enough, since this weapon is themed after Faith and Fire, it actually has the strongest Intelligence-scaling of all Daggers on the Magic and Cold affinities.
• Though the innate Fire damage is low on all but the Fire and Flame Art affinities, simply having it means it will immediate reset fully applied Frostbite on the next hit if on a Cold affinity or using Frostbite-causing skills such as Chilling Mist. It will also stun enemies that are extremely vulnerable to fire, such as Fingercreepers and Miranda Sprouts and Blossoms
• Has a unique double-hitting heavy attack shared with the Black Knife, Blade of Calling, and Erdsteel Dagger.
  • This unique attack grants 4 points towards the scaling of the Winged Sword Insignias instead of the usual 2, due to hitting twice.
• If choosing any of the Magic, Cold, Blood, Poison, or Occult affinities this is one of the few weapons that can scale with four separate stats.
  • In the base game the ability to scale with four different stats via affinities was only held by the Clayman's Harpoon and the Erdsteel Dagger, while the DLC added the Black Steel Greathammer, Bloodfiend's Arm, and Fire Knight's Greatsword, weapons which all have the same quality.

Upgrade Information[]

• Upgraded with regular Smithing Stones.
• Can have its Affinity and Skill changed.
• All non-physical Affinities lower all types of guarded damage negation by 5%, except for the associated element where the damage negation increases by 25% and another element also increases by 15%.
  • Magic negation receives the secondary 15% negation bonus on Sacred and Cold affinities, Fire negation gets the increase on Lightning affinity, Lightning negation gets the increase on Fire and Flame Art affinities, and Holy negation gets the increase on Magic affinity.
• The upper number in the Atk column denotes Physical base damage while the lower, colored number in the Atk column denotes elemental base damage: red for Fire damage, yellow for Lightning damage, orange for Holy damage, and cyan for Magic damage.
