Poseidon Shura (ポセイドン・シュラ Poseidon Shura?) is the adopted son of Poseidon Nero of the Oración Seis Galáctica,[1] making him the prince and heir of the Nero Empire.[2] Shura was also a student of Demon King Ziggy, who taught him Satan Gravity.[3] Due to his incredible talent with the Ether Gear, Shura dubbed himself as the King of Gravity (重力の王 Jūryoku no Ō).[4] In Universe 0, he became the emperor following his father's retirement.[5]
Appearance[]
Shura is a slim yet well-toned young man with amber eyes, dark eyeliners, studded ears, and spiky green hair with a crew cut. He has a set of distinct, dark-colored tattoos covering half of his upper body. When he is first introduced, Shura is shirtless in a pair of dark-colored pants with a belt, along with a metal chain with a cyclopean skull-shaped pendant around his neck. He has several intricate rings on his fingers and a metal armband on his right wrist.[6] Later on, he wears an open jacket with a fur collar and a symbol of the Nero Empire at the back.[7][8] When making public appearances, Shura is dressed in a clean dark suit with a tie.[9]
Personality[]
Shura is a cruel and sadistic young man who feels entitled to everything in the Aoi Cosmos, including people due to being the son of the emperor. He also murders others in horrific ways just to make an example so people don't get any funny ideas with him.[10]
He is described as a "twisted deadbeat" by Holy[11] and a "spoiled prince" by Eraser.[12] He has been shown to be exasperated by his father always leaving his important decisions to a roll of the dice and letting chance order him around, seeing it as foolish.[13][14] Shura occasionally acts very jollily and excited when witnessing a large amount of destruction and death.[15][16] Shura is also very proud of his talent with his Ether Gear, proclaiming himself to be the "King of Gravity".[4]
When in front of Nero and the general populace, Shura effortlessly keeps up the appearance of a respectful son and a charismatic politician.[7][9]
Shura is also a crafty strategist and manipulator, using the Foresta incident caused by Ziggy to rally public support for the elimination of all robots in the Aoi Cosmos as part of a larger ploy to lure the Demon King into a trap he knows the King of Robots won't be capable of resisting.[17][18]
However, despite all his clever actions, Shura doesn't appear to be very bright as he still believed everything was going according to plan, nor did he believe Nero's words when his father revealed that he had easily seen through his schemes and transported all of the Antimatter Bombs to Nero 66.[19]
In the past, Shura was a very excitable and innocent child, finding the power of Satan Gravity to be awesome, and constantly asking Ziggy to teach him more.[20]
At first glance, he looks like a lustful playboy who likes playing with females day and night. However, he doesn't care about them, only thinking of them as playthings that he can replace whenever he gets bored with them.
Synopsis[]
History[]
15 years ago, Shura was adopted by Nero who chose him by the guiding dice and intended to pass his power to him, but the boy was incompatible with the Emperor's power. Instead, Shura was taught by Ziggy, an old friend of his father, how to use Satan Gravity. In his first use, the boy is amazed by his gravity powers and excitedly asked the Demon King to teach him more. Although, Shura obeyed his father when he was asked to leave him and Ziggy alone, running off from the room.[21]
Foresta arc[]
On Nero 73, Shura is in his luxury room with two girls in his arms where the new girl tries to apologize to him for arriving late for work. He asks her how long has she been working here before the girls beside him tell him that she has only been here for a week and to not pick on her so much. In response Shura asks if they feel bad for her, using his Satan Gravity to make them "fall" to the ceiling, horrifying the new girl in tears. As the blood of the two dead girls spill around him, Shura with a sadistic sneer tells her to not get any funny ideas as he says that women are cheap and everything in the Aoi Cosmos belongs to him.[10]
Attending the meeting with his father Nero and the Oceans 6 on Nero 1[11], Shura learns from his father that Foresta has been violated by Ziggy and wonders who that person is. After Nero explains that Ziggy has returned to life but lost his heart, Shura asks his father why would the Demon King do that.[22] The prince is exasperated at his father for using the guiding dice and comments that he does not understand how he can leave important decisions to chance but is told to hold his tongue. After Nero sees the result of rolling the dice and obeys it that he will do nothing, Shura is surprised. He calls out to his father leaving, only to learn that the matter with the Demon King will be left entirely in his hands. Shura asks if his father means that, to which the latter confirms and exits the meeting room. The prince internally remarks with a dark smirk that it is foolish to let the numbers of the dice order his father around, calling Nero a stupid old man. He calls out to his personal secretary Ijuna, who officially transfers the command of Oceans 6 to Shura. When the Oceans members ask him what will be their orders, Shura flattens one of the dice on the table with his gravity-imbued finger and remarks if they even need to ask. With a maniac look, the prince declares to them that he is going to squash Ziggy like a bug and the Demon King will be nothing but a beat-up pile of scrap metal.[23] Shura heads out to find Ziggy and defeat him.[24]
Levitating the objects around him upside down in a room, Shura comments about how Ziggy taught him only the basics, but proudly claims how gifted he is with his gravity powers; enough talent to make him the self-proclaimed "King of Gravity". He is informed by Ijuna that everything is ready for departure to the remote planet Nero 66 where they would search for clues to finding Ziggy. Dropping the items and landing on the floor, Shura apologizes to Cyca, informing the reverend that he can't take him with him. When the reverend tries to reassure him, Shura suddenly grabs Cyca by the head and callously crushes him with gravity in front of the Oceans 6 and his secretary. Smirking, the prince's retort to Fabiano's outrage is that they're about to fight the "King of Robots" and that he doesn't need robots on his side.[25]
Sandra arc[]
One week after the Foresta incident, Shura dispatches the Oceans 6 to Salton and five other planets where they massacred all of the innocent bots and covered it up as robot revolts caused by Ziggy on the official Aoi News report. Making a public announcement on live television, Shura in formal attire addresses the people of the Aoi Cosmos as the "Children of Nero" before asking when did they begin to fear the machines. He states that they once had an option to live together in peace but now a virus that affects robots has spread throughout the Aoi Cosmos. The prince passionately declares the human race shall never live in fear of the machine, slamming his fists on the podium with microphones, Shura states that in order to protect the people of the Nero Empire, they've come to a difficult decision. Spreading his arms, the prince proclaims that they'll eliminate all of the bots in the Aoi Cosmos much to the crowd's approval and support. Clenching his fist, Shura declares "Judgement Day" starts now and the age of cowering in fear of these robots has come to an end.[26] At Nero 66 where he sits on his couch casually inside a building, Shura remarks that he knows what Ziggy is after and it is the All-Link System, the system that commands all of the bots in the Aoi Cosmos. The prince smirks as he wonders if Ziggy will take the bait and declares that the King of Robots will be digging his own grave.[18]
At the pool resort in Nero 66 a few days after the consequences of his public announcement on the Nero Empire, Shura is relaxing with four girls in bikinis fawning over him on a large couch, remarking that he is so bored to wait for 3 days until the Aoi High Tide hits. He answers Callum's question that Ziggy will be here because the Demon King wants the All-Link System and this planet is where he will find it. Shura is notified by Ijuna that he has an uninvited guest approaching Nero 66. He recognizes them to be the Interstellar Union Army and decides with a smirk that this will be the perfect way to kill some time.[27]
Nero 66 arc[]
Heading to the command center to watch his fleet of 3,200 ships[28] confront the Interstellar Union Army fleet of 250 ships in space, Shura asks Ijuna the identity of the intruder which his secretary answers that it is Eraser of the Oración Seis Interstellar. After hearing about Eraser's epithet as the "White Flash", the prince remarks that it is a stupid name. Entering the command center, Shura is saluted by the members of the Imperial Army and informed by the general that all of their troops are in position. When the Imperial Army general reassures him that the Interstellar Union Army will never break through their defenses with a fleet that small, Shura casually sits down on his chair of the main desk and lazily orders him to shoot them down.[29] Viewing the space battle between the Imperial Army ships and Eraser's forces, the prince excitedly finds it awesome and wonders how many have died in battle. After the general assumes Ijuna is the prince's consort, Shura reassures him that she is his secretary. However, when the older military officer is about to reveal who Ijuna used to be, he lifts the man in the air and chokes him with Satan Gravity. A livid Shura emphasizes to the general that Ijuna is his secretary. When the general pleads with him to spare his life and states that his daughter's wedding is in next week, Shura retorts that he does not care. With a sadistic look, the prince exclaims to the old man that he is a grunt, and grunts are supposed to shut up and do what they are told. Shura demonstrates what will happen to people who insult him, the ruler of the Aoi Cosmos by brutally crushing the general to death in a bloody manner, horrifying the officers of the command center while Ijuna remains impassive. Giggling, the prince remarks that this will happen to Eraser too. Then Shura casually notes that this show does not have too many fireworks and asks his subordinates if they can just wipe the Interstellar Union Army forces with a big battleship which they comply with immediately.[30] After the Kraken wipes out 42 ships of Eraser's fleet, he is amazed by its strength with a gleeful look. However, the prince is confused when he sees Eraser standing outside on top of the Commando Carrier Hot Eyes in the vacuum of space.[31] After the Interstellar member single-handedly takes down the Kraken and every Imperial Army ship with his Ether Gear, Shura is impressed.[32]
When the Edens Zero enters Nero 66, Shura is informed by a gorilla-like Imperial Army officer that it slipped past through their defensive line. However, the prince notes that while he recognized the ship to be Ziggy's, he senses the owner's Ether to be different than the Demon King and wonders who it is.[33] Confronting the interlopers alone outside of the command center, Shura effortlessly stops the Edens Zero in mid-air with his gravity.[34] He is surprised to see someone exiting the ship to confront him alone and smirks, releasing the Edens Zero from his grasp.[35] Facing his opponent who asks him if he is Shura, the prince confirms his identity and questions the boy for his name in turn. After learning the boy's name to be Shiki and his intention to stop him, Shura wonders how does he know Ziggy. The prince laughs upon hearing from Shiki that the Demon King was his grandfather, commenting that he is a robot. After Shiki states that it doesn't matter if someone's a human or a machine, Shura remarks that he got no right to talk as he is the son of Nero whom he calls a monster. Casually walking towards Shiki, the prince questions him if he's working for Ziggy and finds it skeptical when the latter claims that he is going to stop the Demon King too. Standing up close to him, Shura derisively calls Shiki a peasant and informs him that commoners are supposed to live humble lives. He states that they don't get around expecting to get what they want and only the Royal Family is allowed to do that. Shura raises his right hand to crush Shiki with gravity and asks the boy if he gets it. Despite his opponent catching his hand and counter his gravity with his own, Shura wonders if this is all he got after the former is buckling on the ground from his power. He humorously finds Shiki lightweight after the latter attempted to use gravity on him. Suddenly, the prince is thrown into the air by Shiki much to his surprise. He is punched in the face by Shiki in mid-air which angers him before he is then struck again and sent crashing hard into the ground. Lying on the crater with mild injuries, Shura remarks with a smirk that Shiki is not bad.[36] Floating himself back up on his feet, Shura compares their gravity powers, saying that while Shiki's power focuses on altering his personal gravity, his power is focused on moving objects. After this, the prince spreads his arms and pulls out a ship from the ground where he remarks to a surprised Shiki that there are all kinds of junk buried under here. Declaring that he will bury the boy and Edens Zero down there with it, Shura then disassembles it and launches the parts at Shiki. When the Demon King's grandson catches one of the parts, Shura is surprised but then disassembles the parts he threw at Shiki to throw smaller ones at him. Dashing towards his opponent, the prince then goes to elbow Shiki before punching him on the stomach and then the head, with his opponent trying to land another hit on him. But the prince easily dodges it before kicking the Demon King's grandson down into one of the ship's parts. When Shiki notes that Shura is also altering his own gravity, the prince retorts that he never said he couldn't.[37] Shura and Shiki continue to exchange blows on top of the ship's large part in the air. After Shiki punches his face and demands that he turns off the All-Link System, Shura punches back and exclaims they don't need live machines, stating that they should be used as tools for humankind while tying Shiki up with the ship's wires he controls after catching him off guard. The son of Nero then taunts if Shiki can use Ether Gear while being tied up before he is surprised to see the boy use Magimech Attack: Gravity Center. After getting hit and brought down to the ground again, the prince is surprised yet overjoyed and exclaims that he didn't think anyone else could be as awesome. Smiling, Shura asks Shiki to be his friend.[38]
Shura confirms to Shiki that he wants him to be his friend and explains that he has never met anybody like the Demon King's grandson until now, stating that they can totally be buddies. After Shiki tells him that he can't be friends with someone who doesn't think robot lives are worth anything, the prince asks the boy if he can't be friends with someone who has different values than him. Extending his hand, the son of Nero states that they have the same goal and offers Shiki that they can beat Ziggy together. When Shiki requests him to stop his plan of destroying machines if he agrees to be his friend, Shura shrugs and remarks that he will consider it. He waits for Shiki to come down and take his hand. However, the prince tries to tell the Demon King's grandson to think about the robots trying to take the rights away from humans and if they let them get away with it, the Aoi Cosmos will be taken over. With a manic face, Shura states that if Shiki is his friend, he would understand and that they don't need live bots. After Shiki rejects his offer of friendship, the prince understands and signals the Imperial Army robots to appear before him and the boy. Shura retorts at Shiki who believed the fight was between themselves if he really believed that. Using his gravity to float away to his troops on the high ground, he declares that he is bored with his fellow Satan Gravity wielder now and lets the Imperial robots take it from here. Shura corrects Shiki that they are hunks of metal about to be scrapped and he wouldn't call them friends. He orders the bot soldiers to attack the Demon King's grandson. Smiling with glee, the prince encourages them to keep up the assault, stating that it is their last job in the Imperial Army and they should not disappoint him. Shura remarks that he almost admired the Imperial machines for giving their all despite they will be destroyed by this time tomorrow, and mockingly informs them that Shiki whom they assaulted is a nice boy who sees the bots as friends. Bidding Shiki goodbye in a cheeky manner, Shura leaves the battlefield with his gravity at high speed.[39]
Shura assaults the Edens Zero by punching a hole on top of the Demon King's warship and piercing through its Guarnanium armor with ease. Landing before the three members of the Demon King's Four Shining Stars within the bridge, he explains to a shocked Hermit, who assumed his attack to be a laser, that it is actually gravity and it is the power of destruction. After learning about Shiki's title as the Demon King with amusement, Shura tells Witch to take a look where she dropped him off. He comments that Shiki is massacring a bunch of robots down there and asks the Shining Star how do they feel to see their dear leader picking on fellow androids only for Hermit to retort that it doesn't matter whether if it's a human or machine as a friend is a friend and foe is a foe. When Witch, Sister, and Hermit attempt to use their Battle Dresses, the prince interrupts their transformation and pins them down on the floor with his gravity. Shura comments that since Shiki can't be his friend, he got curious and came to the Edens Zero to get a look at his fellow Satan Gravity user's "precious toys". Sadistically smirking, the Emperor's son states that he would love to see the look on the boy's face when he breaks the three female androids.[40]
Shura smirks as he watches the three Shining Stars still being pinned down by his gravity.[41] After brutalizing Sister and Hermit, he kidnaps Witch and brings her to the Imperial military facility within the domed city. With the Shield of Edens held as a hostage, the prince dares Shiki to come here and play with him, stating that they are "friends".[42][43] When a captive Witch regains consciousness, Shura greets her and answers her question about her fellow Shining Stars that he "knocked them around a little" but assures her they aren't dead. The prince tells the Shield of Edens to not bother freeing herself as the anti-Ether restraints prevent her from using her special abilities. He remarks that Witch is one well-made android upon inspecting her. After hearing from Ijuna that she is known as the "Steel Sorceress" upon identifying her, Shura mocks Witch that she is so soft and grabbed her chest much to her discomfort, laughing at her. Letting go, the prince notes that she's almost like a human before snapping his finger to summon a knife from the table with his gravity and directed it to stab Witch on her left arm, making her bleed. Shura removes the knife and comment that Witch feels pain, which pleases him with a sadistic look that he is going to get a lot of fun out of the female android. He answers Witch's question of why he's doing all this stating that he wants to beat Ziggy. Shura brings up the Foresta incident and explains to the Shield of Edens that the Verdant Planet was his planet as all planets in the Aoi Cosmos belong to him. Spinning around the knife in his hand, Shura states that he won't stand by and let the Demon King act like he owned his cosmos, calling Ziggy a "lousy bot" before throwing the knife directly into the left side of Witch's stomach, wounding her again, and declares with a sneer that robots like her should learn not to disobey their human overlords.[44]
When the Imperial Army command center reports to him about the invasion of Nero 1 by the Interstellar Union Army, Dead Cam and Ziggy, and asks for his orders, Shura turns off his phone and starts laughing. The prince remarks that it goes exactly the way he wanted. He informs a barely conscious Witch that this is what he was after from the start. Shura notes that if Ziggy and his father fight each other, one of them will die and his money is on the Demon King winning. Smiling maniacally, Shura states that once Nero dies, the Aoi Cosmos and everything in it will be finally his. He rebuts Witch to not talk to him about family and declares that he is tired playing with her.[45]
Standing casually over Witch's unconscious and damaged form on the floor, Shura tells Shiki for taking too long after noticing the arrival of the Demon King's grandson and his friends. The prince comments that he was playing with her and she broke, enraging Shiki.[46] Shura smiles sadistically at the shock, horror and anger from Shiki and his friends before blocking his fellow gravity user's punch with his arm, causing a massive shockwave of gravity around them.[47] Sneering, he rebuts to Shiki that the only thing getting crushed around here is the boy's head.[48] Clashing against Shiki with gravity, Shura is confused of the boy's words about the lights in space going off before he is struck hard on the head.[49] Wiping blood from his mouth and getting up from the floor, Shura asks Shiki if he knows what is going on at The Temple right now, and reveals that his father and Ziggy are fighting there. He tells Shiki that his money is on Ziggy and that it has gone exactly according to his plan, stating that if Nero dies, all of Aoi Cosmos will be his and he doesn't care who wins the fight between old men. However, Shura reveals that the All-Link System connects every planet including The Temple and that there are 20,000 electronically-controlled Imperial antimatter bombs lying unused in the Nero Empire's capital planet. The prince explains that just one bomb has enough power to turn a small planet into dust and there are 20,000 of them on Nero 1, shocking Shiki. Gloating, Shura states that the All-Link System will do him the favor of wiping out Nero, Ziggy and The Temple, declaring that he will be the winner in the end.[50]
Shura notes that as the two old men duel with each other, they have no idea that he is going to use 20,000 bombs to blow them up along with the Nero Empire capital planet. The prince corrects Shiki that Nero is a monster, not his father and remarks about the rumor of his "lucky charm" that promises him "absolute victory". He shows his lack of care for the people living on The Temple and states that he treats their lives lightly, upsetting Shiki. Lifting the pieces from the floor with gravity, Shura mocks Shiki for his pretty ideals before attacking his fellow gravity user. He jumps towards Shiki in mid-air and kicks him in the stomach, sending him flying through 3 floors above. Catching up to him, Shura asks the boy if his life carries weight in his mind and recalls that he did a lot of damage to Witch. Further enraging Shiki, he remarks that the female android reacted just like a real human and if he had the time, he would have loved to make her his pet and take her out for walkies. Then with a dark smile, Shura states that it is not going to happen as All-Link System will activate any minute now and all of the bots in Aoi Cosmos are going to die. He is shocked to see Shiki using Overdrive but then easily blocks his opponent's punch with his left arm. Shura smirks as he did not expect Shiki to possess Overdrive. Revealing that he has Overdrive too and uses it, he comments now it is just a boring fight to the death if that's how it is going to be. Advising Shiki to not underestimate his power of gravity, Shura raises his left hand to tear out Shiki's left eyeball and crushes it in his palm.[51]
Shura rushes toward Shiki, who reels in pain of his eyeball's loss, and punches him in the face with his right fist before bombarding the boy with multiple gravity-empowered punches. He raises his right leg and strikes Shiki, causing the floor to crack and crumble. The prince is struck in the face by Shiki's retaliation and coughs up blood. Angered, he unleashes Heavy Rain on the boy before lifting a boulder and shapes it into an intricate spear with gravity. He throws Heavy Lance at Shiki, piercing him in the stomach. Smirking, Shura asks the boy if he now understands what it means to be on a different league and watches him collapse on the floor.[52] Leaving his Overdrive form and crushing all of the Imperial Army soldiers into bloody paste at the All-Link System's room, Shura tells a horrified Rebecca and her friends that this is real gravity as he hovers over them from above. He informs them that Shiki is dead and pins them on the floor with gravity. The prince reminds the B-Cuber and the two bots that it is not hard to crush people but after noting they did come all the way here, he decides to let them watch him instead. Activating the All-Link System, he tells them to watch him destroy every bot in the Aoi Cosmos and states to Rebecca that her little robot friends are going to fall into pieces. Basking in his impeding triumph, Shura declares that every single planet is now connected in the huge space network and the first thing he will do is to blow up the Temple. He declares his victory, only to be surprised when Nero contacts him and asks him if he is jesting. Shura is surprised when Nero tells him that the word "victory" exists only for the Emperor and there is no victory for him. Confused, he recalls to his father about Ziggy attacking the Nero Empire capital planet. Shura is shocked when Nero reveals the damaged head of Ziggy he holds in his hand and realized that his father defeated the Demon King. The prince is surprised after the Emperor informs him that it is over for him and that he used his Ether Gear Wormhole to transport 20,000 Imperial antimatter bombs to Nero 66 instead of The Temple. Upset of being outwitted, a spluttering Shura tries to call off Nero's claims as a bluff and rebuts that he never heard anything about his father possessing an Ether Gear, finding it ridiculous about such feat of transporting the bombs to another planet. Taking Nero's dare if either The Temple or Nero 66 obliterates, Shura still believes that his father is bluffing as he is about to activate the All-Link System. He proclaims that he is the winner, telling his father to die. Suddenly, Shura is struck from above by a still-alive Shiki who dropkicks him on the head and states that their fight isn't over yet.[53]
After crashing on the floor and landing on his feet, Shura uses his Overdrive once more which surprises Rebecca and Pino. He is directly struck in the jaw by Shiki's Magimech Attack: Meteor Breaker, screaming in pain and spitting out blood. Sneering, the prince screams that Shiki and his friends are all garbage before unleashing Heavy Collision against his opponent.[54] Clashing with Shiki, Shura declares that he is going to be more powerful than his father and lectures Shiki that he will never make it to the top if he is not willing to step on people, mocking him as a naïve little brat. He is shocked by Shiki's rebuke that he and his friends are going forward before witnessing the latter form a powerful gravity orb on his hand, questioning it. Panicking, Shura pleads Shiki to not strike him with it. After Shiki directly hits him with the Super Ultimate Magimech Attack: Black Sky, the prince is defeated and his Overdrive form is dispelled.[55]
When Ziggy activated the 20,000 Imperial antimatter bombs on Nero 66 with the All-Link System, Shura disappears from Shiki's sight[56] and lays his back behind the empty bridge of the Imperial Army command center. He is confronted by Ijuna and asks her why did she not evacuate with Callum and his comrades, stating that this planet will be dust in a few minutes. Realizing, the prince believes that Ijuna stayed behind to kill him herself for revenge. Shura explained that he figured out long ago that it was her Red Destiny that made him attached to her. He is surprised to learn from Ijuna that her Ether Gear never worked on him and it does not work on targets who have never known love. Shura is embraced by Ijuna who reveals that the spark of love has kindled inside him and herself. Moved to tears, he tries to rebuke Ijuna that he is a monster but returns the hug as they are vaporized by the detonation of the bombs on Nero 66.[57]

Powers and Abilities[]
Poseidon Shura was the prince and heir of the Nero Empire who is regarded as a real threat to the Interstellar Union Army that is already preparing to take him down with Eraser of the Oración Seis Interstellar leading the full-scale assault[12] before he can ascend to the throne after his father Nero dies of old age.[11] Hermit notes that Shura's Ether numbers are way beyond what she predicted and she then recalculated his battle stats to be four times higher than before.[58]
Satan Gravity (サタングラビティ Satan Gurabiti): This Ether Gear, taught by Ziggy[59], gives Shura the ability to alter and change his or other's gravity. He uses it in a much more brutal fashion, such as "dropping" people towards and splattering them on the ceiling.[3] According to Orc, Shura is more powerful than Shiki.[60] Shura noted that 15 years ago, he was taught the basics by Ziggy but discovers that he had enough talent to make him the "King of Gravity" as he casually levitates the objects around him upside down.[4] He is capable of stopping the Edens Zero in mid-air with one hand, much to the Crew of Edens' shock.[34] His gravity is strong enough to briefly buckle Shiki into the ground with casual effort and Shura finds his attempt of using gravity on him as "lightweight".[61] Shura states that he and Shiki's gravity powers are a little different for he specializes in moving objects as he is able to lift a large ship buried underground and manipulate the parts with gravity. However, it does not stop him from altering his personal gravity.[37][62] Shura is able to use gravity to fly in high speeds.[63] His gravity is strong enough to pierce through the Edens Zero's Guarnanium armor with ease and he describes gravity as the "power of destruction".[64] Witch even notes Shura's gravity to be intense as she and her fellow Shining Stars cannot move under it[65], and that it is not like that of Shiki's.[41]
- Heavy Rain (ヘビーレイン Hebī Rein): Shura uses his gravity to send debris downward at his opponent.[66]
- Heavy Lance (ヘビーランス Hebī Ransu): Shura lifts a large rock with gravity and shapes it into a spear before impaling his opponent at full force.[67]
- Heavy Collision (ヘビーコリジョン Hebī Korijon): Shura raises the ground beneath his opponent to collide with their body; throwing them into the air and dealing damage at the same time.[68]
Overdrive (オーバードライヴ Ōbadoraivu): Shura is shown to be capable of using Overdrive, gaining a form similar to that of his adoptive father, Nero. His hair grows into a mass of tentacles, black markings covering the majority of his arms and leads to the sides of his face, where his ears become pointed, and a pair of pants with a fish scale pattern.[69] While in Overdrive, Shura's physical prowess is increased immensely.[52]
Immense Durability: Shura has an impressively durable body, being able to withstand Shiki's two Satan Gravity-empowered punches to the face that sent him crashing into the ground with little sign of injury.[70] He is later shown to be able to block and withstand a direct punch from Shiki in his Overdrive.[71]
Expert Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Shura is skilled in hand-to-hand combat, using his Satan Gravity in conjunction.[72][73]
