Chapter 107

A Planet Where Stars Fall Like Rain (星降る惑星 Hoshi Furu Wakusei) is the 107th chapter of Hiro Mashima's Edens Zero.

Discovering the tropical surface of Red Cave, the crew enjoys their time at the beach. Eventually they see a spaceship crashing into the waters, making them investigate it.

Summary[]

The crew happily arrive at a beach on the surface of Red Cave, dressed in their swimsuits, with Shiki, Rebecca, Pino, and Happy all splashing in the ocean. Weisz hangs back and calls the others naive as he believes that the real purpose for visiting the beach should be rubbing sunscreen on pretty ladies. Homura and Hermit spend their own time training and researching for fun. Sister is baffled that Weisz wants to rub sunscreen lotion on them and Witch reveals to him that the members of the Demon King's Four Shining Stars like herself can customize the appearance of their skin at whim, allowing them to hide their seams and gain an instant tan. Weisz perversely asks if that works underneath their swimsuits too and Witch begins to show him before being called out by Sister. Hermit is confused on why the planet would be classified as a "Fire Planet" since, despite the high temperatures, the planet's atmosphere is abundant in Water Ether. Witch comments that they have not seen a single building so gathering information on Mother seems unlikely but Sister is undeterred and opts to just have fun for now, racing off with Mosco into the water. From aboard the Edens Zero, Kleene observes everyone having fun and comments that she'd like to go to the beach too. Jinn initially forbids her from associating with the rest of the crew, but after noticing her electronic hair clip display a sad emoji, relents and allows her to go join them. The crew continue having fun at the beach when they notice it is beginning to rain in a peculiar way which Witch explains is a result of Light Ether fusing with Water Ether in the atmosphere to produce a sparkling effect. Everyone marvels together at the sight of it, though Weisz is more transfixed on ogling Homura.

Rebecca asks Shiki is he can video the effect from above but instead of just taking the B-Cube, he picks up Rebecca and leaps up into the air with her so they can see it together and record it. As she is recording it, Rebecca notices a crashing spaceship in the distance which lands in the water. Sister tells the others to check it out and when Weisz complains about it being underwater, Hermit produces Aquatic Adaptation Lacrima for Weisz, Homura, Shiki, and Rebecca to wear allowing them to breathe and communicate underwater. They swim under the sea in the direction of the spaceship and Weisz briefly taunts Shiki by holding up an Aoi Lobster and claiming it is an insect, freaking Shiki out. They arrive at the wrecked ship and see that the hatch is already open on it. Happy is worried about the person is inside since they're underwater but E.M. Pino mentions that they have spare Lacrima. When they look inside however, they discover a skeleton at the controls and they're astonished that the pilot has clearly been dead for some time. Weisz points out that near to the wrecked ship there is an entire underwater city. Pino spots a temple-like building in the center of the city which has an engraving of Mother on the front of it.
