Job is a male human of good alignment who was once unfairly tormented by the archdevil Satan. Little else is canonically known about him.[1]
Creative origins[]
Job is a Biblical character appearing primarily in the Book of Job.
Job is a virtuous man who is rewarded with God's favor and lives successfully. An angel, Satan, accuses Job that he only lives righteously because God is kind to him, and strips him of his wealth, his family, and his health. Job refuses to curse God's name and continues to live righteously even though it seems God has abandoned him. God subsequently rewards Job with greater wealth and success.
