McDuck Manor (2017)

McDuck Manor is the mansion home of Scrooge McDuck in Duckburg, as seen in the 2017 series.

Background[]

Residents[]

Scrooge, along with his great-nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie, his niece Della, his pilot and limousine driver Launchpad, his ghost butler Duckworth, his housekeeper Beakley and her granddaughter Webby all currently reside and/or work within the mansion together. Scrooge's nephew Donald also resides on the land of McDuck Manor, but he spends most of his time in his houseboat, stationed in the mansion's pool (though he still tends to participate in most of the family's activities and adventures).

Initially, Scrooge and Duckworth were the sole residents of the Manor, but after Duckworth's passing, Mrs. Beakley became the new housekeeper for the Manor. Eventually Scrooge's nephew and niece Donald and Della had also moved in at an unknown point in time when they were young, and into their adult years Della had given birth to three eggs of her own. However, after the Spear of Selene incident, Donald moved out of the Manor of his own volition and took Della's eggs with him, after blaming Scrooge for Della's disappearance. Sometime afterwards, Beakley's granddaughter Webby moved into the Manor and spent most of her life inside of it, having very little social interaction with the outside world.

Ten years after Donald's departing, he returns to Scrooge and the Manor, initially requesting a simple babysitting job for his now three nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie. However, the job ultimately turns into a new adventure for the family, and afterwards the family discovers that Dewey had accidentally left Donald's houseboat running, causing it to explode. Because of this, Scrooge allows Donald and his nephews to move into the Manor until Donald's boat is fully fixed. Soon afterwards during a birthday party for Scrooge, the ghost of Duckworth returns to the Manor and continues to act as a second guard (in his Demonworth form) and caretaker for the household.

Six months later, the majority of McDuck Manor residents have a falling out with Scrooge, causing most of them to leave the manor excluding Scrooge. A few days later after The Shadow War! incident, Scrooge and the former residents all manage to make up, leading to everyone being permanently reinstated at the Manor. Months afterward, Della returns to the Manor after having been stuck on the moon for ten years, but had finally managed to repair her rocket and land safely in Duckburg. Although Della is now reinstated back into the Manor, Donald accidentally departs in her place after relaunching the Spear of Selene while trying to look for Della in the ship, causing him to get stuck on the moon himself.

He soon manages to escape from it and returns back to Earth, but lands on an uncharted island with no one to rescue him due to the Manor residents believing he's on the vacation they planned for him. Months later his family manages to find him after an attack from the Moonlanders that caused their plane to crash on the same island as his. Soon afterwards, they all return to Duckburg with the help of Fethry Duck and his sea friend Mitzy. After managing to deal with the Moonlander's leader Lunaris, the rest of the Moonlanders make peace with the Earth citizens, allowing Scrooge and the rest of Mcduck Manor's residents to return to their home.

Household History[]

The mansion sits on top of Killmotor Hill and gets more than its share of damage, due to the fact that some of the adventures even take place in or around it.
