The Heike Story is a 2021 original net animation series adapted from Hideo Furukawa's 2016 translation into modern Japanese of The Tale of the Heike.
It was animated by Science Saru, directed by Naoko Yamada, written for television by Reiko Yoshida, composed by Kensuke Ushio,and it aired in Japan on September 16, 2021. FUNimation Entertainment produced an English dub for the series, which premiered on November 3, 2021[1].
