Conditions of outcome[]

Telling Leliana not to kill her spy in Haven seems to be a major condition in order to persuade Leliana not to kill Natalie. I didn't talk to her at all in Haven, so never got that cutscene. I did, however, convince her that her agents weren't dispensable following In Your Heart Shall Burn. Are those the only two options to "soften" her and therefore get her to not kill Natalie? Because I chose the option not to, and she still slit Natalie's throat. She also refused to be convinced when I chose the option to stop torturing herself. --♫ Kelcat Talk 07:18, February 1, 2015 (UTC)

I believe this to be the case. In my second playthrough, I talked her down in both the conversations you mentioned, then successfully talked her down from killing Natalie as well. In my first playthrough, I told Leliana to kill the spy and that her agents weren't dispensable and the Natalie conversation played out with her death. It's my understanding the significant conversation choices are the ones where you hover over them and they tell you definitively "X will happen if you choose this option" (e.g Recruit Cole - Yes/No; save Bull's Chargers - Yes/No; tell Cullen to start/not start taking lyrium again). I can't think of any other dialogue choices for Leliana like this and I was specifically watching for them on my 2nd playthrough so I could get the "softened" Divine outcome -- Ness csr (talk) 08:15, February 1, 2015 (UTC)
I just did that quest and had the same outcome. I told her to kill the spy in Haven but that her agents were not expendable in Skyhold. She killed Natalie although I said to let her go, and despite telling her not to torture herself she was determined to be ruthless back at Skyhold. She is a scary, scary individual now. Quest Trigger[]

I completed "Wicked Eyes" before "Here Lies the Abyss" this time, and Leliana did not receive her letter until both were done. If anyone can confirm this, it should probably be fixed on the main page. Crush. (talk) 22:20, February 26, 2015 (UTC)

Yeah, it was like that for me too. --FenrirSmallKeladin Storm 23:01, February 26, 2015 (UTC)
