After Hawke helps Lieutenant Harley Casimi with raiders on the Wounded Coast, she tells them to speak to Jalen in the Viscount's Keep for a reward. In the Keep, Jalen asks Hawke if they killed all the raiders. Hawke mentions killing Fell Orden, but Jalen notes that the leader of the raiders, Evets, wasn't among the casualties. He tells Hawke to be careful, as Evets will most likely want revenge on Hawke for killing his men. Then Jalen thanks Hawke for helping Harley and rewards them.

- Jalen warns Hawke about Evets and mentions there is a large bounty on his head. Evets himself confronts Hawke three years later at the eastern entrance to the Wounded Coast, seeking vengeance for his fallen comrades—but is killed by Hawke in the process.
