Master Smithy seen working.
The Master Smithy is a character added in the 2014 The Original Strife: Veteran Edition. Is an NPC in the Factory Forge who opens the door to the Factory Production facility to allow you to find the Red Talisman. He will only open the door if you completed the Blue Chalice portion of the quest with Timothy.

Due to the nature of the quest with their research on The Order and his position in the factory; the Master Smithy seems to know a substantial portion of the story and will gladly share what he knows even before the game plot tells you.
