Happy 2021 with Lawn Fawn...

Hello and happy Wednesday everyone. Mayra here with you today. I have a New Year's themed card to share with you.

I began by die cutting all of the layers for the dies I would be using. I used the super cute Tiny Gift Box Hedgehog Add-On, the Deer Add-on, the Bunny Add-on,  the Stitched Dens dies, the Snowflake Border die, the Slimline Stitched Hillside Border to create the snowy slopes, Oliver's Stitched 123s, and the Tiny Gift Box Holiday Hats Add-on

Next, I added color to a panel. I used Distress Oxide and Distress Inks. I used Chipped Sapphire Distress ink, then Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide ink, Peacock Feathers Distress ink, and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide. I then die cut the numbers using the Oliver's Stitched 123s dies. I added the same colors to these numbers, trims of the hats, and to the snowflake border. I then used the largest of the den dies to die cut a window from a white panel. I assembled all of the layers together to create a snowy scene for the die-cut critters.

I hope you enjoy the card I created to share with you today. I wish you all a healthy, wonderful, and blessed New Year. Please feel welcome to visit me on my blog, Instagram, or Pinterest

Hello from Toni: Puppies!

Christmas is over and now on to other things like this cute Mama Elephant puppy card which happens to use my favorite holiday combo of red and blue. I guess I'm not saying goodbye to the holidays quite yet!

I'm using the Mama Elephant Slim Card Basics dies.  I really like that I can position the apertures wherever I want (or don't want).  Plus it comes with speech dies.  Heck, yes!

I used MFT Party Plaid 6x6 paper behind the apertures. It's the perfect backdrop for those Mama Elephant My Pet Puppies which I colored up very simply with Copics.

I used Versafine Vintage Sepia for stamping the text. I like the softness of that brown, don't you?

I'll see you again soon.  If you'd like to check out my other creations in the meantime, you can visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft, my Instagram, or my Pinterest Board.

Hello from Toni: Peace on Earth

Holiday greetings, everyone!  I hope if you celebrate today that you have a wonderful, peaceful time which isn't easy this year.

For my cards today, I kept the theme really simple and rustic, which was perfect for the Honey Bee Pinecone dies. There are 6 layers--sounds like you should run away, right?--but they're so well conceived it's ultra simple to use them.

For the first, I sponged woodgrain cardstock with Distress Oxide Walnut Stain and Ground Espresso. I cut the pieces to look like shiplap/flooring.  I stamped the Avery Elle Merriest sentiment with Versafine Vintage Sepia.

I added the Honey Bee Pinecone, sponged with a touch of Distress Oxide Vintage Photo and embossed.  I added a few Tim Holtz greenery diecuts too.

For the second card I covered the entire card front with woodgrain cardstock I sponged with Distress Oxide Weathered Wood.  How trendy! I used a wet wipe to remove some of the color and make it look more aged.

I used the Lawn Fawn Oliver's Stitched ABCs for the sentiment. I love the simplicity.

I'll see you again soon.  If you'd like to check out my other creations in the meantime, you can visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft, my Instagram, or my Pinterest Board.

May Your Holidays Be Extra Sweet...

Hello and happy Wednesday everyone! Mayra here with you today. Can you believe Christmas is here already!!! I have one more Christmas card to share with you. It is a festive holiday baking-theme. I also created a coordinating tag, I used several sets from Lawn Fawn. I hope you all are having a wonderful and extra sweet Holiday Season and may it continue!!!

I began by coloring the images I would be using. I used the Santa and Mrs. Claus from the Ho Ho Holidays, the tree cookie from Tiny Gingerbread, the lamposts from Winter Village, the small Christmas trees from Yeti Or Not, the little fish tank from Keep On Swimming (I used it as a mini cookie jar). The large and small bows are from  Eggstra Amazing Easter. I also used the A Creature Was Stirring, Car Critters Christmas Add-On,  How You BeanHow You Bean Christmas Cookie Add-On, and Holiday Helpers stamp sets.

I used Copic markers to color them in. For the gingerbread color, I used E41, E81, E31, E55, and E35. For the reds, I used R05, R17, and R46. For the white areas, I used E40, E41, C1, and BG10. For the greens, I used YG03 and G94. For the "glass" areas, I used BG10 and BG11. For the skin, I used E50, E51, E21, and E23.

I then began to die cutting the pieces I would be using for my card. I used the Large Slimline with Sliders die. I used the largest rectangle in the set to die cut the base layer, then a layer from plain white cardstock, and woodgrain cardstock.  To create the cabinets, I used the stitched rectangle from the Mini Pop-Up Box die set. For the windows, I used the Scalloped Treat Box Winter House Add-On, For the banners, I used the banner from the Double Slider Surprise and the medium-sized banner from the Simple Wavy Banners die set.

To create the cookie jar shaker cover, I used the Quilted Backdrop Lawn Cuts die, to die cut a red layer. I then adhered it to a piece of white cardstock, then glued it to the mason jar.

I hope you enjoy the card I created to share with you today. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by. I pray you each have a wonderful and blessed Christmas.

Hello from Toni: Joyeux Narwhal!

Hi, everybody!  A couple of last minute holiday cards are on the dock(et) today. These use the Avery Elle Joyeux Narwhal set. So cute!

The first is a slimline card where I used the Mama Elephant Slim Card Basics and Window Dressing dies along with the waves from the Sunny Studio Slimline Nature Borders set for the base.

I sponged the waves with Distress Oxide Salty Ocean and Peacock Feathers, setting that aside to thoroughly dry before embossing the sentiment. See a full list of Copics below.

For the cute sea turtle card I created a mask using a hill die from the Mama Elephant Slim Card Basics and used it to airbrush waves. Does it remind you of Finding Nemo, dude?

Ack, they're so adorable!  I colored the images up with Copics, adding Posca white pigment pen accents.

I'll see you again soon.  If you'd like to check out my other creations in the meantime, you can visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft, my Instagram, or my Pinterest Board.

Hello from Toni: Honey Bee Farmhouse Trees

Hi, everyone!  Christmas is just around the corner, can you believe it?  I'm still making holiday/winter cards including these beauties using the Honey Bee Farm House Tree Builder set.

What a fantastic tree and easy to do, especially when you have a MISTI. I just set the 3 stamps up assembly line style and switched out colors.  The third layer is for snow/lights/baubles so you could easily skip that if you wanted, making it even simpler. Woo hoo!

For this one, I used Distress Oxide Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry. I used a champagne glitter cardstock with the Honey Bee Winter dies. I love that vellum underlayer. I also used the Honey Bee Winter stamps.

Here I used MFT Christmas Cheer 6x6 paper as the base, Distress Oxide Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn for the tree, and Silver Stickles for the lights.

A bit more modern and stylized with this one. I used Sunny Studio Subtle Grey Tones 6x6 paper for the base, Distress Oxide Wilted Violet and Shaded Lilac for the tree and Ranger Stardust Stickles.

I leave you with my beloved blue/red combo for holiday cards.  I used Distress Oxide Mermaid Lagoon and Tumbled Glass, Christmas Red Stickles and an embossing folder I haven't used in forever.

I'll see you again soon.  If you'd like to check out my other creations in the meantime, you can visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft, my Instagram, or my Pinterest Board.

Love Ya Snow Much with Lawn Fawn...

Hello and happy Wednesday everyone!! Mayra here with you today. I have a 'cool' themed card to share with you, lol. I used the super awesome, two of my favorites, and must have dies the Stitched Mug Frame and Outside In Stitched Mug. I am having so much fun creating with these dies. I was inspired by the advent calendar I created for this year for my snowman mug and card.

I used several dies from Lawn Fawn to create the snowman and the snowman themed mug.  I began by die-cutting the pieces I would be using to create the snowman mug. I used the  Outside In Stitched Mug and Stitched Mug Frame, along with the Tiny Gift Box Bunny Add-On (for the carrot nose, and cheeks), the smile is from the eyes in the Woodland Critter Huggers die set. The mitten and hat are from the Woodland Critter Huggers Winter Add-On, and for the little snowman, the hat is from the Tiny Gift Box Holiday Hats Add-On. To create the small snowman I used the die-cut circle from the Christmas hat add-on.

This snowman is enjoying his cup of hot chocolate and of course, there are lots of mini sprinkles.
To create the hot chocolate look, I used the Outside In Stitched Mug to die cut a layer from brown glitter cardstock. I then used the Slimline Stitched Hillside Border to create the wavy edge. I also did this for the chocolate-dipped marshmallows. For the sprinkles, I used the small circles from the snowy backdrop scene from the Snow Globe Scenes Shaker Add-On die set. I also used the small cutouts from the ball of yarn from the Tiny Gift Box Cat Add-On. The snowflake on the mitten is from one of the snowflakes in the Magic Iris Snow Globe Add-On. The chocolate-dipped candy canes are from the Build A House Gingerbread Add-On

To create the snowman, I used the larger and medium-sized balloons from the Outside In Stitched Balloon Stackables. I then added a bit of color to the white areas using Tumbled Glass, and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide inks. To finish my card, I added the sentiment from the Snow Much Fun stamp set

I hope you enjoy the card I created to share with you today. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by. I pray you each have a wonderful and blessed day. Please feel welcome to visit me on my blog, or Pinterest, or on Instagram.

Hello from Toni: Holiday Shutter Cards

Hi, everyone! I played around with the Lawn Fawn Shutter Card dies and had a lot of fun. These are super easy to use--truly!

The first we'll discuss is the red and silver glitter version. A friend of mine sent me this as a make 'n' take (so sweet, right?!) and I had no problems putting it together once I watched the Lawn Fawn product video which was really helpful.

The exterior is decorated with the Lawn Fawn Snowflake Border. It also features the snowflake from the Lawn Fawn Shutter Card Snow Globe Add-On. You'll find that on the interior too. The polka dots on the Lawn Fawn Shutter Card Add-On panel are embossed as is the Lawn Fawn Shutter Card Holiday Sayings sentiment.

The next one is my own design--still getting the hang of these. I used MFT Christmas Cheer 6x6 PaperDistress Oxide Spun Sugar, an MFT Stitched Mini Scallop Circle die, a Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflake, and an image and sentiment from Avery Elle Christmas Mice.

For the last, I used Lawn Fawn Let It Shine 6x6 paper on the exterior panels with the upper panels made by stamping the Avery Elle Nordic Patterns stamps with Distress Oxide Candied Apple.  The belly band is fashioned from Doodlebug Design Christmas Magic 6x6 Paper with the MFT SY Christmas Cheer tree as the focal point.

I used the same MFT set for the interior. I used Copics to ombre color the shutter portion and Distress Oxide Twisted Citron for the top panel.

Whew! I hope you are inspired by these and have some time to craft this week.

I'll see you again soon.  If you'd like to check out my other creations in the meantime, you can visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft, my Instagram, or my Pinterest Board.

Hello from Toni: Not a Creature Was Stirring

Hello, Doodlebug peeps! Today I'm sharing a happy little holiday card using the Avery Elle Christmas Mice set.

I adore their giants ears--ever so cute! And those outfits! There's something so 1950s about his bowtie and shirt.  Love it!

I paired the AE Christmas Mice with Doodlebug Design Night Before Christmas 6x6 paper. I was inspired by a recent sketch challenge which gave me the opportunity to use a lot of different papers due to the layering. Woo hoo!

I've included a couple of Honey Bee Nested Circle and Rectangle dies in the product list below that would be fantastic for layering like I've done here.  It makes it so easy!

I'll see you again soon.  If you'd like to check out my other creations in the meantime, you can visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft, my Instagram, or my Pinterest Board.
