Christina Schmidt, sometimes credited as Chrissy Schmidt, (born September 16, 1987) is a Canadian actress and model who was born in the Kitchener-Waterloo area and currently resides in Los Angeles.
Schmidt trained, before becoming an actress, with Kids on Camera, and The Second City, two prestigious training companies for aspiring actors. Her classes led to her first appearance, in the 2000 short film Notes from Mother.
Her big break came when she was hired to play Terri MacGregor on Degrassi: The Next Generation.
At the 2005 Young Artist Awards in Los Angeles, Christina won the award for "Best Performance in a TV Series (Comedy or Drama) - Supporting Young Actress" for her role as Terri on Degrassi.
Christina is represented for fashion and print modeling by the Wilhelmina agency (ten20 division) in New York. She appears in the Fall 2007 ad campaign for MXM, which is Canada's best-known junior plus-size clothing line, and has modeled extensively for Torrid, which is a major junior-plus retailer in the U.S.A.
As of 2014, she is currently living with her husband Angelo and her son Orlando.
